보육교사의 개인 및 직무 변인에 따른 근골격계 질환과 건강관리에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 개인 변인과 직무 변인에 따른 근골격계 질환 자각 실태, 그리고 근골격계 질환 예방 및 관리를 위한 실태와 인식의 차이를 알아보는 데에 있다. 본 연구에서는 교사 개인 변인으로 보육교사 연령, 학력, 결혼여부, 보육경력, 가사노동시간을 설정하였고, 직무 변인으로는 근무하는 어린이집의 설립유형, 담당학급연령, 근무시간, 보조인력 유무를 설정하였다. 연구를 위해 서울, 경기지역에서 근무하는 보육교사 223명을 대상으로 업무와 관련된 근골격계 질환 유무, 자각 증상 정도, 근골격 질환 예방 및 관리에 대한 관심과 노력 정도, 교육의 필요성 등을 설문조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, F-test, x2-test를 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하여 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연령, 결혼여부, 보육경력, 어린이집 설립유형, 담당학급연령, 근무시간에 따라 보육교사의 업무와 관련된 근골격계 질환 및 통증의 자각 정도에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 목 부위 근골격계 통증 자각은 보육경력에 따라, 어깨 부위 근골격계 통증 자각은 보육교사의 연령과 보육경력에 따라 차이를 보였다. 그리고 NIOSH 기준에 의한 유증상자는 78.9%였으나 판정 여부는 교사의 개인 변인 및 직무 변인에 따라 차이를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 연령, 결혼여부, 보육경력, 가사노동시간, 어린이집 설립유형에 따라 보육교사의 근골격계 질환 예방 및 관리 실태와 인식에 있어서 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 보육교사의 근골격계 건강에 영향을 미치는 요인이 교사 개인뿐 아니라 환경적 요인임을 확인할 수 있었으며 보다 거시적 차원에서 교사의 건강증진을 위한 정책과 제도, 그리고 교육적 지원이 이루어져야 한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 이는 향후 보육교사를 위한 근골격계 질환 예방 및 건강증진 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in awareness of musculoskeletal disorders according to personal and job variables of childcare teachers, and the differences in actual conditions and awareness for prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders. In this study, the childcare teacher's age, education, marital status, childcare experience, and housework hours were set as personal variables, and the type of childcare center established, age of the class in charge, working hours, and presence of assistant staff were set as job variables. For the study, 223 childcare teachers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were surveyed to determine the presence or absence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, level of perceived symptoms, level of interest and effort in preventing and managing musculoskeletal disorders, and need for education. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test, and χ2-test using SPSS 23.0. The results of this study are summarized and presented as follows. First, it was found that there were differences in the level of awareness of musculoskeletal disorder and pain related to the work of childcare teachers depending on age, marital status, childcare experience, type of childcare center establishment, age of class in charge, and working hours. Second, the perception of musculoskeletal pain in the neck area differed depending on childcare experience, and the perception of musculoskeletal pain in the shoulder area differed depending on the age and childcare experience of the childcare teacher. And although the number of symptomatic patients according to NIOSH standards was 78.9%, there was no difference in whether or not the diagnosis was made depending on the teacher's personal and job variables. Third, there were differences in the status and awareness of childcare teachers' prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders depending on age, marital status, childcare experience, housework hours, and type of childcare center establishment. Through these research results, it was confirmed that the factors affecting the musculoskeletal health of childcare teachers are not only personal factors but also environmental factors, and implications were obtained that policies, systems, and educational support for teachers' health promotion should be implemented at a more macro level. This will be used as basic data for the development of musculoskeletal disease prevention and health promotion programs for childcare teachers in the future.
