글쓰기 관련 비교과 프로그램의 운영 현황과 과제: 부산 지역 대학을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 부산 지역 대학을 중심으로 글쓰기 관련 비교과 프로그램의 운영 현황을 분석한 후, 도출된 한계를 바탕으로 개선 방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 글쓰기 능력은 학문 공동체의 구성원으로서 다양한 소통을 위해 갖추어야 하는 필수적인 능력이다. 따라서 디지털 기반 사회에서도 글쓰기 교육의 필요성은 강조될 수밖에 없다. 이러한 상황을 반영하여 각 대학에서는 글쓰기 교과에서 부족한 부분을 보완하기 위해 글쓰기 관련 비교과 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부산 지역 대학을 중심으로 글쓰기 관련 비교과 프로그램의 운영에 관해 다음과 같이 연구를 진행하였다. 2장에서는 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 비교과 프로그램의 필요성에 대해 검토하였다. 3장에서는 연구 대상인 5개 대학의 글쓰기 관련 비교과 프로그램의 운영 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 글쓰기 클리닉과 튜터링은 글쓰기 교과와의 연계 기준이 명확하지 않으며, 비교과 프로그램의 참가 대상을 학부 재학생 전체로 설정하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 대학의 글쓰기 교육 목표 중 하나인 매체를 활용한 글쓰기 역량 함양과 관련되는 비교과 프로그램은 운영하지 않고 있으며, 표절이나 ChatGPT로 대표되는 생성형 인공지능의 활용과 관련되는 글쓰기 윤리 관련 프로그램도 찾아볼 수 없었다. 4장에서는 도출된 한계점을 보완, 개선할 수 있는 방안으로 첫째, 글쓰기 교육과정과 연계한 비교과 프로그램 운영, 둘째, 참가 대상을 세분화한 글쓰기 프로그램 개발, 셋째, 매체를 활용한 글쓰기 프로그램 개발, 넷째, 글쓰기 윤리 관련 프로그램 개발을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 부산 지역의 5개 대학을 대상으로 하는 제한된 연구이지만 향후, 글쓰기 비교과 프로그램 관련 연구를 수행하고 프로그램을 개발, 운영하는 데 하나의 참고 자료가 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to analyze the operation status of the writing extra-curricular programs at universities in Busan and then propose improvement measures based on the limitations revealed. Writing ability is an essential skill that must be possessed for various types of communication as a member of the academic community. Therefore, even in a digital-based society, the need for writing education is bound to be emphasized. Reflecting this situation, each university operates extra-curricular programs related to writing to compensate for the shortcomings in the writing subject. Accordingly, this study analyzed the operation status of writing extra-curricular programs focusing on universities in Busan, as follows. Chapter 2 examined the need for writing extra-curricular programs in university writing education. Chapter 3 analyzed the writing extra-curricular programs operated by the five universities selected as the research target. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the criteria for linking the writing clinic and tutoring with the writing subject were not clear, and that the participation target for the extra-curricular program was set to all undergraduate students. In addition, there are no writing extra-curricular programs related to the cultivation of writing skills using media, which is one of the goals of writing education at universities, and there are no programs related to writing ethics that deal with the problems of plagiarism or the use of generative artificial intelligence represented by ChatGPT. In Chapter 4, we propose to supplement and improve the limitations identified: first, to operate a extra-curricular program in connection with the writing curriculum, second, to develop a writing program that subdivides the participants, third, to develop a writing program using media, and fourth, to develop a program related to writing ethics. Although this study is a limited study of five universities in the Busan, but we hope that it will serve as a reference for conducting research related to writing extra-curricular programs and operating programs in the future.
