국문 초록

마수미는 화이트헤드에게서 활동성과 과정 개념을 수용하여 활동주의 철학을 구축한다. 마수미는 인식 주체와 인식 대상을 분리함으로써 신체를 동물적 대상으로 폄하하는 인지주의 철학을 비판한다. 신체 폄하는 생태계와 자연적 질서를 인간 밖에 존재하는 물질로 대상화하는 것이다. 신체는 오히려 물리적 물질, 생명 물질, 인간적 생명 물질이 능동적으로 식별불가능한 채 사건이 일어나는 곳이자 인간적 경험이 그 한가운데서 자신을 발견하게 되는 환경이다. 마수미는 화이트헤드에게서 활동성과 과정 개념을 수용하여 활동주의 철학을 구축한다. 마수미는 인식 주체와 인식 대상을 분리함으로써 신체를 동물적 대상으로 폄하하는 인지주의 철학을 비판한다. 신체 폄하는 생태계와 자연적 질서를 인간 밖에 존재하는 물질로 대상화하는 것이다. 신체는 오히려 물리적 물질, 생명 물질, 인간적 생명 물질이 능동적으로 식별불가능한 채 사건이 일어나는 곳이자 인간적 경험이 그 한가운데서 자신을 발견하게 되는 환경이다. 나아가 마수미는 생명, 신체, 정동을 통해 미학-정치학을 구성한다. 어떤 존재의 기술이 정치적일수록 그것은 창의적으로 반복된다. 그것은 특유의 모멘텀으로 반복되는 차이화의 리듬을 따르면서 자기를 위상화하고, 탈위상화하고, 재위상화한다. 마수미는 사회체계가 만든 질서 이전과 현재, 미래를 사유하고 느끼며 정동의 열린 장 안에서 상호작용하는 정동정치를 구상한다. 또한 살아있는 삶의 필요에 참여하여 질적 차이를 생성하여 잠재적 실재를 구현한다. 마수미는 예술을 우리를 살아가게 하는 사물들에 대해서 만큼이나 생명 자체에 대한 질적 지각 안에서 지각 가능하게 만드는 기술로 파악한다. 따라서 마수미에게 예술은 삶의 잠재성을 더 완전하게 경험하면서, 삶을 안에서 살기의 기술, 삶을 보다 강렬하게 살게 하는 존재의 기술인 것이다.

영문 초록

This article examines the real power of aesthetics-politics based on life, body, and affective activity, focusing on Brian Massumi’s Semblance and event , and examines why it is oriented towards natural philosophy. This will be useful in examining the convergence of nature and culture by how AI technology can be cultured and fused with our lives, bodies, and Affect(情動) in the midst of an ecological crisis. Massumi builds the activist philosophy by accepting the concepts of activity and process from Whitehead. Massumi also criticizes the philosophy of cognitivism, which degrades the body as an animal object by separating the perceiving subject from the perceiving object. Disparaging the body is objectifying the ecosystem and natural order as materials that exist outside of humans. The body is rather a place where events take place while physical matter, life matter, and human life matter are actively unidentifiable, and is the environment in which human experience finds itself in its midst. Furthermore, Massumi constructs aesthetics-politics through life, body, and Affect. The more political a person’s technology is, the creatively it repeats itself. It phases, de-phases, and re-phases itself, following a rhythm that makes a repeated difference with its unique momentum. Massumi considers affect as a fundamental point prior to the order created by the social system, and envisions Affective Poli-tics interacting within the open field of affect. He also participates in the necessities of living life, creating a qualitative difference, thus implementing the potential re-ality. Massumi conceives of Arts as the art of making perceptible in the qualitative perception of life itself as much as of the things that make us live. Therefore, for Massumi, Arts is the art of experiencing life’s potential more fully, living life from within, the art of being that allows one to live life more intensely.
