강의평가 결과 요인을 바탕으로 한 퍼소나 개발 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학 교원의 강의평가 결과가 낮은 이유를 탐색하고 이를 바탕으로 대학교수의 퍼소나를 개발함으로써 강의평가 하위 결과에 대한 개선을 지원할 수 있는 방안을 제안하기 위해 실시되었다. 방법 본 연구는 하위 강의평가 요인 추출을 위하여 재학생, 하위 강의평가 결과를 받은 경험이 있는 대학 교원, 대학의 교수-학습 전문가 대상의 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 퍼소나를 개발하였다. 퍼소나 개발은 3단계로 진행되었다. 첫째, 인터뷰의 결과를 바탕으로 강의평가 하위 교과목의 특성을 추출하고, 둘째, 변인의 뼈대를 만들어 퍼소나 유형을 구분하였으며, 셋째 퍼소나 유형별 시나리오를 개발하는 방식으로 진행하였다. 개발된 퍼소나는 타당성 검증을 위해 교육(공)학 박사 20명을 대상으로 델파이 조사를 실시하였으며 델파이 조사 결과를 바탕으로 퍼소나를 수정 및 보완하여 최종 퍼소나를 개발하였다. 결과 본 연구에서 강의평가 하위 교과목의 특징을 기반으로 개발한 대학 교원의 퍼소나는 세 개의 유형으로, 수업 설계 및 수업 운영에 대한 역량이 부족한 교수(퍼소나 1), 학습자에 대한 이해가 낮은 교수(퍼소나 2), 수업에 대한 실행의지와 교수개발 동기가 부족하며 수업에 대한 인식이 학생들과 차이가 큰 교수(퍼소나 3)이다. 결론 강의평가 결과 요인을 바탕으로 개발된 세 개의 퍼소나는 낮은 강의평가 결과가 나타나는 이유가 교수의 개인적 요인 뿐 아니라 수업개발 관련 지식이나 학생에 대한 이해 및 소통 관련 지식과 기술, 교수개발에 대한 의지 등 다양한 요인으로 드러날 수 있다는 점을 보여준다고 할 수 있다. 또한, 본 연구에서 개발된 퍼소나를 기반으로 강의개선을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램이 요구됨을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study attempted to explore the reasons for university professors with low lecture evaluation results and develop personas based on this. Methods In this study, the following research questions were proposed to suggest methods to improve teaching for professors who received low lecture evaluation scores. First, for what reason do university professors' lecture evaluation scores come out low? Second, what are the common characteristics of subjects that have received low lecture evaluation, and what about the persona developed based on this? In order to extract the characteristics of low-score lecture evaluation, this study conducted interviews with enrolled students, university professors with experience in receiving low lecture evaluation results, and university teaching-learning experts. Based on the results of the interview, persona was developed. Persona development was conducted in three stages, and after persona was developed, a Delphi survey was conducted on 20 experts in education to verify its validity. Results In this study, there are three types of personas of university professors developed based on the characteristics of subjects with low lecture evaluation results. The first-ranked persona is a professor who lacks competence in class design and class management, the second-ranked persona is a professor who does not understand learners. The third-ranked persona is a professor who lacks the willingness to implement classes and motivation for teaching development, and has a huge gap in perception of classes from students. Conclusions The three personas developed based on the results of lecture evaluation show that the low lecture evaluation results can be revealed not only by professors' characteristics, but also by the level of understanding of students, communication knowledge and skills, and willingness to teaching development. In addition, a customized support program was suggested for teaching improvement based on the persona developed in this study.
