국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 유아교사가 학부모 상담 시 겪게 되는 정서적 경험과 의미에 대해 교사의 관점에서 살펴보고 이를 통해 학부모 상담 실행에 대한 이해를 높이고 학부모 상담 개선을 위한 논의점을 찾고자 하였다. 방법 자료수집 및 분석은 유아교사 7명을 대상으로 반구조화 면담을 통한 질적 연구에 의해 이루어졌다. 결과 첫째. 교사들은 학부모 상담 준비와 진행 시, 상담 이후의 과정에서 각 단계와 상황에 따라 긴장감과 불안, 답답함, 기대감, 즐거움, 만족감 등 다양하고 복합적인 정서적 경험을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들은 학부모상담의 정서적 경험을 통해 교육 주체 간의 소통 증가, 신뢰 관계 유지를 위한 노력, 부정적 정서의 완화, 자기성찰과 교육적 방향 모색이 이루어질 수 있다고 인식하고 있었다. 결론 본 연구는 학부모 상담 시 교사의 정서적 경험을 통해 유아교사의 관점에서 학부모 상담의 가치를 재조명하고 학부모-교사 간 상호작용에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 기초적 자료를 제시한다는 점에서 연구적 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study attempted to examine the emotional experiences of early childhood teachers in the parental counseling process and positive changes through the experiences from the teachers perspectives. Methods The study was conducted qualitatively through semi-structured interviews with 7 early childhood teachers. Results first, the teachers experienced various and complicated emotions such as strain, suffocation, expectation, pleasure, satisfaction, and etc. according to the stage and situation of the process of parent-teacher counseling. Second, the teachers perceived that their experiences could help them to increase communication among stake-holders, make efforts to keep good relationships with parents, alleviate their negative emotions on parent-teacher counseling, reflect their own practice and seek educational directions as a teacher. The findings can be meaningful in that it enhances understanding of parent-teacher interactions and provides basic data for parent-teacher counseling.
