다문화 배경 초등학생을 위한 ‘학습 도구 한국어’ 활성화 방안 연구

국문 초록

목적 본연구에서는 다문화 배경 학생을 위한 ‘학습 도구 한국어’의 위상과 학교 현장에서의 활용실태 및 문제점을 알아보고, ‘학습 도구 한국어’ 활성화 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 한국어 교육과정에 기반하여 개발된 ｢초등학생을 위한 표준한국어 학습 도구｣ 교재를 분석하기 위해 ｢표준한국어｣ 교재의 위상과 내용을 참고문헌을 통해 살펴보고, ｢표준한국어 학습 도구｣, ｢표준한국어 의사소통｣ 교재와 초등학교 공통교육과정 교과서를 비교 분석하였다. 또한 ｢표준한국어｣ 교재를 실제 사용하는 교수관련자인 한국어학급 한국어 강사와 이중언어 강사, 통합학급 교사, 한국어학급 담당교사에게 설문 및 인터뷰를 진행하고 한국어학급 운영계획서를 통해 현장에서 운영실태를 살펴보았다. 결과 교과 진입을 수월하게 하고 학교적응활동을 위한 ｢초등학생을 위한 표준한국어 학습 도구｣ 교재는 학습시기가 ｢표준한국어 의사소통｣ 학습이후로 늦고 지도내용이 공통교육과정과 연계되지 않으며, 선택 활동으로 구성되어 있어 활용 빈도가 낮고, 통합교사와 한국어강사와의 교육활동 연계가 이루어지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이의 해결을 위해서는 ｢초등학생을 위한 표준한국어 학습 도구｣의 지도 시기를 한국어 학급 초기부터 시작하고, ｢초등학생을 위한 표준한국어 의사소통｣ 교재와의 연계가 체계적으로 이루어져야 한다. 또한 초등학교 공통교육과정과의 내용 연계를 통해 학습 공백을 최소화하고 학습 누락을 방지해야 한다. 이를 위해 ｢초등학생을 위한 표준한국어 학습 도구｣ 한국어를 담당할 교사의 교육과정에 대한 연수가 강화되고, 한국어 강사와 통합학급 교사와의 연계와 소통을 원활히 하여 학습의 극대화를 도모해야 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of ‘learning tool Korean’ for students from multicultural backgrounds, the status of its use in school settings, and problems, and to seek ways to revitalize the ‘learning tool Korean’. Methods In order to analyze the textbook developed based on the Korean curriculum, the status and content of the ｢Standard Korean｣ textbook was reviewed through references, and ｢Standard Korean Learning Tool｣, ｢Standard Korean Communication｣ Compared and analyzed textbooks and elementary school common curriculum textbooks. In addition, we interviewed Korean language instructors, bilingual instructors, integrated classroom teachers, and teachers in charge of Korean language classes who actually use ｢Standard Korean｣ textbooks to examine the operation situation in the field. Results The textbook “Standard Korean Learning Tool for Elementary School Students” for ease of entry into the subject and school adaptation activities is an optional activity because the learning period is delayed after learning “Standard Korean Communication” and the instructional content is not connected with the common curriculum. The point was that it was composed, and there was no connection between the integrated teacher and the Korean language instructor. Conclusions In order to solve this problem, the instruction period of ｢Standard Korean Learning Tool｣ is systematically done from the beginning of the Korean class, in connection with the textbook of ｢Standard Korean Communication｣, and through content linkage with the common elementary school curriculum to minimize the learning gap. Learning should be avoided.
