유아 논리 및 논술 교육의 중요도와 실행도에 관한 유아교사의 인식

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 유아 논리 및 논술 교육에 대한 중요도와 실행도의 인식을 살펴보고 IPA 매트릭스 결과를 통해 유아교사의 유아 논리 및 논술 교육을 위한 개선점을 모색하는데 있다. 방법 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 B시에 소재하고 있는 유아교육기관의 유아교사 236명을 대상으로 유아 논리 및 논술 교육에 대한 인식을 설문 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 대응 표본 t 검증과 IPA 기법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 중요도와 실행도의 인식 차이 분석 결과 교육 실시, 교수학습방법, 교육 환경, 교사 역할의 4개 하위 영역과 22개 전체 항목에서 유아교사가 인식하는 중요도가 실행도보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, IPA 매트릭스 결과 교육 환경과 교사 역할 영역이 지속 유지인 1사분면에, 교육실시와 교수학습방법은 점진적 개선인 3사분면에 위치하였고, 문항별로는 1사분면에 10개(45.5%), 2사분면에 3개(13.6%), 3사분면에 8개(36.4%)로 분포하였으며, 1개(4.5%)의 문항이 중요도 평균 점수와 일치하여 어느 사분면에도 속하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 유아 논리 및 논술 교육을 실시하기 위한 방안과 교수학습방법에 대한 장기적인 개선이 필요함을 유추할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study is to analyze the differences between importance and performance of early childhood teachers’ perceptions of logic and essay education for young children. Methods The data were collected 236 teachers working at a childhood educational institution in Busan, Korea and were analyzed by t-test and IPA method for knowing about differences between importance and performance of logic & essay writing education by early childhood teachers. Results First, It was found that the importance perceived by early childhood teachers was statistically significantly higher than that of performance in 4 sub-domains of education execution, teaching and learning method, educational environment, and teacher role and all 22 items. Second, as a result of importance-performance matrix analysis, educational environment and teacher role were located in the first quadrant and education execution, teaching and learning method were located in the third quadrant. Of the 22 items, 10 items (45.5%) were distributed in the first quadrant, 3 items (13.6%) in the second quadrant, and 8 items (36.4%) in the third quadrant. One item (4.5%) was the same as the average score of importance, indicating that it did not belong anywhere. Conclusions Based on these results, it can be inferred that long-term improvement of methods for executing logic and essay education for young children and teaching and learning methods is necessary.
