대학생 진로결정자기효능감과 진로만족의 관계에서 진로준비행동의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 대학생이 진로결정 만족감에 이르게 되는 진로의사결정 과정을 이해하고자 인지적 요인(진로결정자기효능감)과 행동적 요인(진로준비행동) 그리고 정서적 요인(진로만족)의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 즉, 진로결정자기효능감과 진로만족의 관계에서 진로준비행동의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 방법 전국의 10개 4년제 대학의 재학생 294명을 대상으로 진로결정자기효능감, 진로준비행동, 진로만족 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석을 위해 주요변인들 간의 기술통계분석, 상관분석을 실시하였고, 매개효과 검증을 위해 회귀분석, 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 위계적 중다회귀분석은 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 검증 방법과 Sobel Test를 사용하였다. 결과 진로결정자기효능감, 진로준비행동, 진로만족도 사이에 유의미한 정적상관이 나타났다. 이는 진로결정자기효능감이 높을수록 대학생들의 진로준비행동이나 진로만족이 높고, 진로준비행동이 높을수록 진로만족 또한 높아진다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 대학생의 인구통계학적 변인(나이, 성별, 학년, 전공계열)을 통제했을 때, 진로결정자기효능감과 진로만족의 관계에서 진로준비행동의 매개효과가 있었다. 결론 진로의사결정 과정에서 개인의 진로만족을 조력하기 위해서는 진로준비행동 촉진에 초점을 두고 상담 및 교육 전략을 수립하는 것이 시간과 노력 그리고 비용 측면에서 효과적일 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among cognitive factor(career decision-making self-efficacy), behavioral factor(career preparation behavior), and emotional factor(career satisfaction). The present study thus examined the impact of career preparation behavior on the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and career satisfaction of Korean college students. Methods For this aim, 294 Korean college students participated in this study and their career decision-making self-efficacy, career preparation behavior and career satisfaction were measured. Uni-variate, bivariate, and hierarchical multivariate analysis were conducted. Baron and Kenny(1986)’s mediation test procedure and Sobel test were used to analyze the data. Results As results, there was a significant and positive relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy, career preparation behavior, and career satisfaction. This means higher career decision-making self-efficacy would be able to lead higher career satisfaction and career preparation behavior. In addition, when demographic variables(age, gender, grade, major field) were controlled, we found the mediational effect of career preparation behavior on the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and career satisfaction. Conclusions We offered implications that to lead the higher levels of career satisfaction of college students, it would be important to focus on increasing their levels of career preparation behavior.
