학교스포츠클럽 운영을 통한 학급대항경기 활성화 사례 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 학교스포츠클럽 학급대항경기를 운영하면서 교사가 경험하는 어려움과 이를 극복한 과정 그리고 학교스포츠클럽 활동의 교육적 효과를 분석하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 첫 발령 이후 학교스포츠클럽을 5년간 운영해왔고 본 연구가 진행된 해에는 축구 종목으로 학교스포츠클럽을 운영하며 학급대항경기를 활성화시킨 경험이 있는 여교사를 연구참여자로 하여 연구를 실시하였다. 연구 참여자와의 심층면담을 통해 연구 자료가 수집되었으며 수집된 연구 자료는 분석적 귀납법에 의해 분석되어 내용특성에 따라 범주화하였다. 결과 첫째, 학교스포츠클럽을 운영하며 연구 참여자는 모르는 것을 가르쳐야 하는 상황, 교실 분위기가 흐트러지는 상황, 학교 스포츠 시설로 인한 갈등 그리고 함께 하는 선생님들의 필요성과 같은 어려움에 직면했다. 둘째, 연구 참여자는 위의 어려움을 극복하고 여러 도전적인 과제들을 해결해야 했다. 과제로는 모든 학생들이 참여하는 클럽 운영하기, 선생님들이 모르는 것은 직접 배워서 가르치기, 소외된 학생 없는 스포츠클럽 만들기, 여학생들도 축구 가르치기가 있었다. 이 과제들을 해결하기 위해 교사는 동료 교사들과의 협동, 문제 상황에 대한 능동적인 대처와 동료 교수법 도입과 같은 교육 활동을 진행했다. 셋째, 학교스포츠클럽 학급대항경기를 운영하며 연구 참여자는 두 가지 교육적 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 하나는 학생들이 학급 안에서 자신의 정체성을 찾으며 사회 정서 발달이 이루어진 것이고 다른 하나는 학생들의 학급 소속감이 향상된 것이다. 결론 초등학교에서 학교스포츠클럽 학급대항경기가 활발하게 운영되기 위해서는 먼저 초등학교 교사들이 다양한 스포츠 종목을 경험할 수 있는 기회가 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 학교스포츠클럽 운영 시간을 법적으로 보장해주어야 한다. 셋째, 학교스포츠클럽 학급대항경기 운영방법과 운영 중 발생하는 다양한 상황에 대한 교육적 방법들이 연구되고 공유되어야 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this case study is to analyze the difficulties experienced by teacher, the process of overcoming them and educational effect of school sports club while operating school sports club class competition in elementary schools. Methods Participant is five years experienced female teacher, who has been operating school sports clubs for 5 years since their first appointment and activated class competition in the year this study was conducted. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews with participant, and the collected research data were analyzed by Analytical inductive method according to content characteristics. Results The results can be summarized as follows. First, the participant faced difficulties such as a situation where they had to teach what they didn t know, a situation where students were not concentrating in their class, a conflict caused by school sports facilities, and the need for fellows who have same intentions while running a school sports club. Second, the participant have to overcome the above difficulties and solve several challenging tasks. Tasks included running a club in which all students participated of school, teaching by learning what teachers did not know, creating a sports club without underprivileged students, and teaching soccer for girls. These tasks were overcomed as conducting educational activities such as collaboration with her fellow teachers, proactively coping with problem situations, and introducing a fellow method of teaching. Third, the participant gets two educational effects to run school sports club class competition, participants. one is that students find their identity in the classroom and social emotional development has been achieved, and the other is that students sense of belonging to the class has improved. Conclusions In order for elementary school sports club class competitions to be actively operated, elementary school teachers must first have an opportunity to experience various sports events. Second, the school sports club time should be legally guaranteed. Third, educational methods of operating school sports club class competitions and various situations occurring during the operation should be studied and shared.
