D.I.E.를 적용한 초등학교 체육과 안전 영역 수업 실행경험과 교육적 의미

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 초등학교 5학년 체육과 안전 영역의 효과적인 지도를 위해 교육연극의 한 갈래인 D.I.E.를 적용한 수업 프로그램을 구성하여 이를 실행하고, 교사와 학생의 수업 경험과 교육적 의미를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있었다. 방법 안전 D.I.E. 프로그램은 총 7회기 수업으로, 1~3회기 수업은 기본적인 안전수칙을 지도하는 내용, 4~7회기 수업에서는 학교생활, 빙상 스포츠, 겨울 관련 안전사고의 응급처치와 심폐소생술을 주제로 119 안전요원이 되어 임무를 수행하는 내용으로 구성되었다. 연구자는 이를 토대로 실행연구를 진행하여 참여 관찰, 심층 면담, 성찰일지, 안전일지와 소감문, 관련 문서자료 등을 수집하였고, Spradley가 제안한 영역분석과 분류분석을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 결과 D.I.E. 프로그램의 실행경험은 드라마 맥락에 따른 반복 연습, 체험 기회 확대를 통해 안전 대처 능력의 함양을 가져왔고, 학생들이 배우이자 동시에 관객이 되면서 완전 참여 방식의 쌍방향 교습 기회 확대로 나타났다. 또한, 연구 참여자들은 안전 D.I.E. 내 살아보기와 거리두기를 통한 이중적 활동 속에서 학습 내용과 드라마 속 경험을 일상생활과 긴밀하게 연결하고 있었다. 결론 연구 결과, 안전 D.I.E. 프로그램 개발과 적용에 있어 교육적 의미는 학생들의 삶으로 전이되는 안전교육, 안전 영역 수업 방법의 개선, 드라마의 교육적 기능 확대로 도출되었다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was to organize, to implement an education program using D.I.E., a branch of educational drama, for effectively teaching the safety domain of P.E. classes for fifth-grade elementary school students, and to explore its teaching experience and educational significance for teachers and students. Methods The safety domain D.I.E. program consisted of seven classes, i.e., basic safety rules in the first three classes, and emergency treatment for school life, ice sports, winter accidents, cardiopulmonary resuscitation on D.I.E. programs of 119 safety agents personnel’s duties in the rest of classes. To achieve this goal, we collected relevant data, including participant observation, in-depth interviews, reflective journals of researchers, safety journals, and impressions, and analyzed them through the domain analysis and taxonomic analysis proposed by Spradley. Results The experience of implementing the D.I.E. Program had helped students develop safety response skills through repetitive training in the context of the drama and experience opportunities, and enhance double-way learning opportunities in a complete participatory manner, in which students play roles as actors and audience. In addition, it was found that the participants closely link daily lives to their self-reflection learning and experience in participating as 119 safety agents in dramas through living inside and keeping a distance from the safety domain D.I.E. program. Conclusions To sum, we concluded that the educational significance of the development and implementation of the safety domain D.I.E. program could transfer safety education to student’s daily experience, improve educational methods for safety areas, and expand the educational functionality of dramas.
