몬테소리교육 활동경험에 따른 6,7세 유아의 다중지능 발달의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 몬테소리교육 활동경험에 따른 6,7세(56개월~68개월) 남녀유아의 다중지능 발달의 차이를 파악하여 유아교육 현장에서 몬테소리교육 활동경험을 통한 다중지능의 발달 방향을 모색하는 기초자료로 활용하는데 있다. G지역에 소재한 사립유치원의 6,7세 남녀유아 25명을 연구대상으로 유치원정교사 2명이 사전과 사후 실시한 설문조사를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 몬테소리교육 활동경험 전, 6,7세 남자유아와 여자유아는 다중지능 발달에서는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 몬테소리교육 활동경험 후, 6,7세 남자유아와 여자유아는 다중지능 발달에서는 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 몬테소리교육 활동경험의 전과 후, 남자유아는 다중지능에서 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 여자유아는 다중지능 발달에서 차이가 나타나고 있다. 이러한 결과는 몬테소리교육 활동경험이 남자유아와 여자유아의 다중지능 발달에 도움이 되지만, 특히 여자유아의 다중지능 발달에 더 도움이 됨을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the changes and differences in multiple intelligence development of 6-and-7-year-old children according to their experience in Montessori education and utilize the results as the basis for multiple intelligence development at child education settings. The study targeted 25 children attending a private kindergarten at G city, and 2 teachers conducted surveys to them before and after Montessori activities. Before the children experienced the activities, the multiple intelligence development of boys and that of girls were not different. However, there were differences in multiple intelligence development between boys and girls after the activities. In addition, the boys’ multiple intelligence development stayed the same before and after the activities, but the girls’ changed. This signifies that experiencing Montessori activities can help develop both boys’ and girls’ multiple intelligence development, but they are more useful to girls for their multiple intelligence development.
