대학생의 정서지능 척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 정서지능을 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 정서지능에 대한 선행연구를 바탕으로 예비문항을 개발하였으며, 전문가 및 일반 대학생의 내용 검토 및 의견 수렴을 통해 측정도구의 내용 및 안면타당도를 확인하였다. 다음으로 예비조사와 본조사를 통해 수집된 자료를 분석하여, 자기정서인식 4문항, 타인정서인식 6문항, 정서표현 3문항, 감정이입 3문항, 정서조절 4문항, 정서활용 4문항, 대인관계기술 4문항, 총 28개 문항을 최종 문항으로 확정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 정서지능 측정도구를 분석한 결과, 총 7개 요인을 측정하는 문항들은 .89이상의 내적일치도를 보였으며 적절한 요인구조를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 본 조사의 타당도 검증을 위한 확인적 요인분석 결과 대학생 정서지능 측정도구의 모델 적합도가 타당하였고, 수렴타당도와 판별타당도 역시 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 준거타당도를 확인한 결과, 대학생의 정서지능과 관련성이 있을 것으로 가정한 의사소통능력, 한국판 단축 공감, 진로결정 자기효능감, 그리고 진로준비행동과 모두 유의한 정적상관을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 본 연구를 통해 개발된 대학생 정서지능 척도가 신뢰롭고 타당하다는 것을 보여준다. 마지막으로, 본 연구는 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 논의 및 의의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop indicators that scale the emotional intelligence of college students and to test their validity. To do so, a preliminary survey was developed based on extant research on emotional intelligence, checking content and facial validity with the review and feedback from experts and the average college students. Next, analyzing data from the preliminary and main survey, a total of 28 questions were finalized, which are: four questions for self-emotion appraisal , six questions for other’s emotion appraisal, three questions for emotion expression, three questions for empathy, four questions for regulation of emotion, four questions for use of emotion, and four questions for relationship management. Analyzing the scale developed in this study, the questions that measure a total of seven factors had a Cronbach’s α of over 0.89 which represents that it has a reasonable factor structure. In addition, from the factor analysis to test the validity of this research, model suitability of the scale were valid, as well as convergent and discriminant validity. Testing the criterion-related validity, Communicative Competence, Korean Version of the Empathy Quotient-Short, career decision - making self - efficacy, and career preparation behavior, as we had hypothesized, all had a statistically significant relationship with college students emotional intelligence. This outcome shows that of Scale for Emotional Intelligence of College Students is valid and reliable. Finally, Based on the results of this study, this study discussed the implications of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies.
