예비과학교사들의 진로결정 동기요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 교직을 선택하는 동기요인이 무엇인지 알아보기 위해 경기도 소재 사범대학교 예비과학교사들을 대상으로 2017년 3월부터 2017년 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 연구결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성 예비과학교사들은 통계적으로 유의미하게 내적 동기요인이 여성 예비과학교사들보다 더 높았으며, 내적 동기요인 중 직업적 적성과 교수효능이 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 외적 동기요인에 대한 성별의 유의미한 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교현장실습 이외 과외나 학원, 교육봉사 교수경험이 있는 예비과학교사들은 교수경험이 없는 예비과학교사들보다 내적 동기요인 중 교직의 매력에 대한 요인이 유의미하게 높았으며, 학교 현장실습 경험이 있는 예비과학교사들은 외적 동기 요인 중 행정업무가 교수경험이 없는 예비과학 교사들보다 유의미하게 부정적인 동기요인인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학년에 따른 내적 동기요인과 외적 동기요인의 통계적인 유의미한 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 전반적으로 예비과학교사들은 교사로서 내적 동기요인은 긍정적이었으며, 특히 보람과 교직의 매력이 가장 긍정적인 내적 동기요인인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 방학과 공무원으로서 안정성이 긍정적인 외적 동기요인이었으나 중등 교원 임용시험에 대한 준비와 합격여부는 부정적인 외적 동기요인인 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The study was conducted on pre-service science teachers at the college of education in Gyeonggi from March to June, 2017 to investigate motive factors to career decision of pre-service science teachers and conclusions based on the results are as follows. First, male pre-service science teachers showed statistically significant higher internal motivation factors than female pre-service science teachers, and vocational aptitude and teaching efficacy were significantly higher among internal motivation factors. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in gender in external motivation factors. Second, pre-service science teachers who have experience of tutoring, academy, and education service professors other than teacher training were significantly higher than those of pre-service science teachers who did not have teaching experience, the pre-service science teachers with experience of teacher training showed that the administrative task among the external motivation factors were significantly negative motivation factors than pre-service science teachers who had no teaching experience. Third, there was no statistically significant difference between internal motivation factor and external motivation factor according to grade. In general, the pre-service science teachers showed positive internal motivation factors, and especially charm and teaching charm were the most positive internal motivation factors. In addition, stability as a vacation and civil servant was positive external motivation factor, but preparation and acceptance of secondary school teacher appointment test was analyzed as negative external motivation factor.
