취업스트레스에 대한 진로준비행동과 진로고정신념의 상승효과

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 취업스트레스를 예측하는 변인으로 진로고정신념을 새롭게 도입 하여 이의 예측력을 알아보고 진로준비행동 및 진로결정과 취업스트레스 간의 관계가 진로고정신념에 따라 달라지는지 검증하는 것이다. 2017년 가을에 수도권 A대학에 재학 중인 260명의 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후, 3단계로 이루어진 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 1단계는 진로준비행동과 진로결정이, 2단계는 진로고 정신념이, 3단계는 진로고정신념과 나머지 예측변인간의 상호작용항이 투입되었다. 그 결과, 진로준비행동과 진로결정이 취업스트레스를 예측한 후에도 진로고정신념의 부가적인 정적 예측력이 나타났다. 또한 진로준비행동과 취업스트레스의 관계에서 진로고정신념의 유의한 조절효과가 나타났다. 즉, 진로준비행동에 깊게 관여하는 대학생들이 진로고정신념을 강하게 가질수록 진로고정신념이 약한 학생들에 비해 취업 스트레스를 크게 지각하였다. 셋째, 진로준비행동과는 다르게 진로결정과 취업스트레 스의 관계에서 진로고정신념의 조절효과는 나타나지 않았다. 이 연구는 취업스트레 스를 관리하기 위한 기초자료를 구축하는데 진로고정신념이라는 새로운 개념을 도입 하고 그 중요성을 확인했다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to test a predictive utility of career destiny belief in job-seeking stress and whether the role of career preparation behavior and career decision in job-seeking stress would change depending on the levels of career destiny belief in undergraduates. For this, we conducted a survey of 260 students who attends A University in the metropolitan area in fall of 2017 and employed a three-step hierarchical regression analysis. In the first step, career preparation behavior and career decision were entered. Career destiny belief was entered in the second step and interaction terms with career destiny belief and each predictor were followed for the third step. The results are as follows. First of all, career destiny belief showed an additional positive prediction to job-seeking stress even after the predictions from career preparation behavior and career decision were controlled. Next, career destiny belief had a moderating effect on the relationship between career preparation behavior and job-seeking stress. The stronger career preparation behavior and career destiny belief of university students, the greater the tendency for increases in job-seeking stress. However, career destiny belief did not show any significant moderating effect on the relationship between career decision and job-seeking stress. This study signifies career destiny belief in the career domain and provides basic idea for managing job-seeking stress in undergraduates.
