농촌지역 국제결혼남성의 실태와 문제점

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 경북 농촌지역에 거주하는 국제결혼 남성의 실태 및 문제점을 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 1995년, 2000년, 2010년 통계청에서 실시한 인구주택 총조사의 2% 마이크로데이터 자료를 SPSS 19.0 프로그램을 활용하여 국제결혼에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경북 농촌의 국제결혼이주여성과 남편사이의 연령차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그 결과 부부간의 갈등 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 둘째, 농촌지역 국제결혼 부부의 교육수준이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 현상은 자녀 교육에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 셋째, 농촌지역 결혼이주여성 부부의 경제 사정이 상대적으로 열악한 것으로 나타났다. 그 결과, 이주여성들은 한국사회에 적응하는데 많은 어려움을 겪고 있으며 다양한 형태의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제들을 완화하기 위해서 국제결혼에 대한 제도 개선, 경제지원, 한국남성들의 의식 전환 및 사회적 인프라의 구축 등이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The main purposes of this paper are to describe the realities and explore the issues of the cross-border married Korean men in Gyeongbuk rural area. 2 percentage of micro data of Korean census for 1995, 2000, and 2010 were used for the analysis. Findings are as follows: the marital age gap between husbands and wives among cross-border married couple in Gyeongbuk rural area is as high as 16 years old. The big marital age differences between couples might influence on the tension and conflict between couples. Second, the educational attainment level of the cross-border marital couples in Gyeongbuk is relatively low compared to the national educational attainment level of cross-border marital couples. The relatively low educational attainment level may have a negative impact on their children’s education. Thirdly, corss-border married couples in Gyeongbuk rural area are having difficulties with poor economic condition and inferior living environment. As a result, many of them are not satisfied with their living and face a variety of problems. Some policy implications are introduced and discussed in order to alleviate the problems which the cross-border married couple in rural area are facing.
