인포그래픽 학습 자료를 활용한 과학 수업이 초등학생의 과학 흥미도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 인포그래픽 학습 자료를 활용한 과학 수업이 초등학생의 과학 흥미도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 초등학교 5학년 8개 학급을 대상으 로 이질집단 전후검사 설계 방법을 적용하였으며, ‘1. 온도와 열’ 단원에서 활용할 수 있는 인포그래픽 학습 자료를 개발하여 수업에 활용하였다. 검사도구로는 과학 흥미도 검사지를 사용했으며, 검사 결과는 검정을 통해 분석하였다. 실험 집단의 과학 흥미도가 높아졌고, 비교 집단의 과학 흥미도는 낮아진 것으로 나타났으나 통 계적으로 유의미하지는 않았으며, 독립표본 검정 결과 사후 검사에서 과학 흥미도 의 교외과학영역에 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 각 집단별 사전, 사후 검사의 대응표 본 검정 결과 인포그래픽 학습 자료를 활용한 과학 수업을 받은 집단의 과학 흥미 도가 상승한 것을 볼 수 있으나 유의미한 차이를 보이지는 않았다. 그러나 과학 흥 미도의 하위 영역인 과학에 대한 자기 개념, 교외 과학, 미래 과학 참여, 과학의 중 요성 면에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 인포그래픽 학습 자료 를 활용한 과학 수업이 초등학생의 과학 흥미도에 영향을 미친다는 점을 나타낸 것 이다. 따라서 인포그래픽 학습 자료를 활용한 과학 교육에 관한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate how science class that applies infographics learning materials affects elementary students interest in science. To achieve that, this study applied nonequivalent group pre-test & post-test design method to eight fifth-grade classrooms in elementary school. This study developed infographics learning materials which can be used for the section of 1. Temperature and Heat in the textbook of the 1st semester for fifth-grade elementary students, and used them in class. As a test tool, a science interest questionnaire was used. The test results were analyzed by t-test. According to independent two-sample t-test on experimental group and comparative group, there were significant differences in the out-of-school science category of science interest. As for the pre-test and post-test of each group, the paired t-test revealed that although the group that took the science class applying infographics learning materials showed an increase in science interest, there was no significant difference. However, there were significant differences in the sub categories of science interest: self-concept of science, out-of-school science, participation into future science, and importance of science. The results present the point that science class applying infographics learning materials affect elementary students interest in science. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to study science education based on infographics learning materials
