창의적 체험활동 교육과정의 발전 방향 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 오늘날 한국 사회에서 미래사회를 대비한 역량 중심 교육과정에 대한 논의가 강조되고 있음을 주목하고 학생들이 창의적 체험활동에 참여하여 증진 시켜야 할 역량에는 어떤 것이 있으며 운영 방안 측면에서 앞으로 중요하게 고려되 어야 할 사항은 무엇인지를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 창의적 체험활동에 많은 관심을 갖고 있는 교육 전문가 31명을 대상으로 델파이 조 사를 총3차례에 걸쳐 실시하고 그 결과를 논의하였다. 초·중등학교 창의적 체험활동 을 통해 함양해야 할 핵심 역량으로 주목된 것은 ‘협동 및 타인과의 관계 형성 능력’ 으로 이에 대해 3차 중요도 조사에서 ‘매우 중요’에 응답한 비율이 90%로 가장 높게 나타났고, 그 다음으로는 ‘소통 능력’과 ‘공감 및 배려’, ‘자기 이해 및 자아 정체성 형 성’이 77%의 비율을 나타냈다. 또한 본 연구에서 실시한 델파이 조사에서는 향후 국 가에서 창의적 체험활동을 통해 함양해야 할 역량을 제시하는 데 초점을 두어야 하 고 그러한 역량을 함양하기 위한 구체적 교육과정은 학교 주도 하에 개발, 적용하도 록 해야 한다는 의견을 피력한 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 조사 결과에 기초하여 초․중등학교 교원들이 창의적 체험활동을 통해 지 속적으로 중시되어야 할 역량과 학교급의 특성에 따라 강조점을 두어야 할 역량에 대해 관심을 가질 필요가 있으며, 그러한 역량 함양에 초점을 두어 학교 현장에서 창의적 체험활동을 실천하는 방향으로 점진적인 변화를 시도해야 함을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the competencies required to students through the participation in the creative-experiential activities observing the current tendency of competencies-based curriculum for the preparation of future society. Delphi-technique was applied to 31 educational specialists who had deep concern for creative-experiential activities to accomplish this research purpose. According to the results of delphi-technique, ‘the abilities of co-operation and connecting with others were thought most importantly. Also I investigated what are key competencies according to each school level from elementary schools to high schools. The key competencies of creative-experiential activities in elementary schools were identified as basic habits of life, cultural sensitivities and artistic sensitivities, creativity according to the results of delphi-technique. The key competencies of creative-experiential activities in middle schools were identified as the abilities to co-operate with others and to make relation with others and reponsibility. Also, the key competencies of creative-experiential activities in high schools were career planning and the abilities to think one s life reflectively. The perception of educational specialists is that creative-experiential activities should be developed by teachers. I insisted that the key competencies which were considered importantly through whole period of schooling and the competencies which were emphasized in each level of schooling should be provided in national curriculum document.
