2015 개정 교육과정 초등 교과의 다문화적 내용 요소 분석

국문 초록

우리 사회는 다문화 사회로 급속하게 변화되고 있으며, 개정 교육과정에서도 다문화 교육 내용을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구는 다문화 교육 내용이 초등 교과에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지를 알아보기 위해 2017년 6월부터 8월까지 현직 초등학교 교사 1인과 교차점검으로 2015개정 교육과정 초등학교 1-2학년군 통합 1학기 교과서 및 교사용 지도서 등 6권을 분석하였다. 내용 요소 분석 준거 틀은 「초·중등학교 교육과정 및 교과서 다문화적 요소 분석을 통한 개정 방안연구(교육과학기술부, 2009)」에서 제시한 ‘다문화적 내용 분석틀’로 하였으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정체성의 영역에선 정체성의 차원이 94%로 대부분을 차지하였으며 둘째, 다양성·다원성 영역은 문화 다양성 및 다원성 인식이 82%, 문화 다양성에 대한 태도 및 관점과 문화 집단 간 상호의존성이 각 9%를 차지하였다. 셋째, 사회정의 영역은 소수자가 79%, 그 뒤로는 차별, 인권존중이 그 뒤를 이었다. 종합적으로는 핵심영역 중 정체성의 요소, 다양성·다원성, 사회정의 영역 순으로 그 비중을 차지하였다.

영문 초록

Our society is rapidly changing into a multicultural society, and the revised curriculum emphasizes contents of multicultural education. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the contents of multicultural education are reflected in elementary school curriculum. From June to August 2017, one elementary school teacher crossed the check list with 2015 revised curriculum elementary school 1st and 2nd graders integrated textbooks and teachers guide books were analyzed. The content element analysis framework was analyzed as ‘multicultural contents analysis framework’ proposed by ‘Study on revision through analysis of elementary and middle school curriculum and multicultural elements’ (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 2009). The results of the analysis are as follows. First, in the area of identity, the dimension of identity occupied the majority of 94%. Second, in the diversity and pluralism area, cultural diversity and pluralism perception were 82%, attitude and perspective on cultural diversity, Respectively. Third, in the social justice area, 79% of the minorities followed discrimination and respect for human rights. Comprehensively, they accounted for the elements of identity, diversity·pluralism, and social justice.
