국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 특성화고 학생의 NCS 수리능력 영역 대수 문장제의 해결 과정에서 나타난 오류를 분석하고, 이에 대한 지도방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 중·소도시에 소재한 특성화등학교 학생 70명을 대상으로 대수 문장제 서술형 문항 6개로 이루어진 검사지를 이용하여 오류 유형별로 분석하고, 5명은 심층 면담한 내용을 녹음하고 전사하여 분석하였다. 결과 특성화고의 많은 학생들이 NCS 수리능력 영역 대수 문장제 해결에서 어려움을 보였고, 해결과정에서의 오류 유형은 풀이과정 생략의 오류, 수학적 언어의 어려움에 의한 오류, 문제이해의 오류, 필수적인 기술·사실·개념의 불충분한 숙달에 의한 순으로 나타났다. 결론 대수 문장제 해결에서 보이는 중요한 오류에 대처하기 위해 대수적 번역, 기본연산능력, 기본적인 수학 지식의 습득, 체계적 풀이쓰기 등에 초점을 맞추어 지도 하여야 하고, 특성화고 직업기초능력평가의 수리활용 영역에서 대수 문장제를 다루어야 하며, NCS 수리능력 평가를 대비할 수 있도록 특성화고 실정에 맞는 교육과정을 편성 운영할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze errors that arise during the problem-solving process of alge-braic word problems in the mathematical reasoning domain of NCS(National Competency Standards) for speci-alized high school students and to explore instructional strategies to address these errors. Methods A test consisting of six items was administered to 70 students attending specialized high schools lo-cated in medium city. After conducting the test using the questionnaire, the response sheets were analyzed by error type. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with five participants, and the content of these inter-views was recorded, transcribed, and analyzed. Results Many students in specialized high schools experienced difficulties in solving algebraic word problems in the NCS mathematical competency domain. The types of errors observed during the problem-solving process in-cluded errors in skipping solution steps, difficulties arising from mathematical language, errors in problem com-prehension, and errors stemming from inadequate mastery of prerequisite skills, facts, and concepts. Conclusions To address significant errors in solving algebraic word problems, it is crucial to focus on algebraic translation, fundamental computational skills, acquiring prerequisite knowledge, and systematic problem-solving writing. Instruction should be centered around vocational foundational abilities, particularly emphasizing algebraic word problems within the context of vocational math competency assessment. Moreover, it is necessary to in-corporate algebraic word problems into the mathematical application domain of specialized high school vocational foundational assessments and develop and implement an education curriculum tailored to the specialized voca-tional context, preparing students for the NCS mathematical ability assessment.
