국제보건 역량 증진을 위한 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램 개발 및 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생들의 국제보건 역량과 문화적 역량 향상을 목적으로 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 확인한 연구이다. 방법 본 연구에서는 ADDIE모델 단계에 따라 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램을 개발하였다. 국내 4개 대학 간호학과 학생을 대상으로 대상자를 모집하여 몽골 현지에서 프로그램을 진행하였다. 단일군 사전 사후 설계를 적용하여 프로그램에 참여한 간호대학생 28명을 대상으로 프로그램 참여 전후 국제보건 역량과 문화적 역량을 측정하고 통계적 유의성을 비교하였다. 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램에서는 국제보건 역량의 하위역량을 기반으로 12개의 구체적 학습목표와 5개 학습주제를 설정하였다. 프로그램 구성은 문화적 역량의 선행요인을 토대로 이론강의 뿐 아니라, 강의내용과 연계한 문화체험활동, 유목민 대상 간호봉사활동, 그리고 현지 의료기관 방문활동을 포함하였다. 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램 참여 후 측정한 국제보건 역량과 문화적 역량 평균 점수는 중재 전 측정한 점수와 비교하였을 때 유의하게 향상되었음이 확인되었다. 결론 본 연구에서는 해외간호연수봉사 프로그램의 개발 절차와 내용을 구체적으로 제시하여 향후 다른 전공에서 국제역량 향상 프로그램을 개발하는 데 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 나아가 간호사의 국제보건 역량 향상에 기여하여 궁극적으로 세계인의 건강증진에 이바지할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to develop and implement an international nursing education and service program to improve global health competency and cultural competency of nursing students, and identify its impact. Methods In this study, the international nursing education and service program was developed according to the five stages of the ADDIE instructional model. The program was conducted in Mongolia for nursing students from four universities of Korea. This study used a single group pre and post test design. The global health competency and cultural competency of 28 nursing students who participated in the program were measured before and after participating in the program, and statistical significance was compared using the paired t-test. Results The program developed in this study included five topics, with 12 specific learning objectives based on sub-global health competencies. The program included cultural experience activities, visits to health institutions, and nursing volunteer activities which were linked to the lecture contents as well as lectures. It was identified that the average score of global health competency and cultural competency measured after participating in the pro-gram significantly improved compared to the score measured before the intervention. Conclusions The results of this study could provide fundamental data to develop an international education pro-gram for improving the global competency of students in other majors. Furthermore, it is expected to contribute to improving nurses’ global health competency and ultimately contribute to addressing global health inequities.
