국문 초록

인간을 둘러싼 건축된 환경은 하나의 총체적 문화로서 인간 삶의 분야 그 자체이자 활동과 삶의 방식에 절대적인 영향을 끼치는 토대이다. 미술교육에서는 이러한 건축된 환경의 중요성과 미적 가치를 새롭게 인식하고 보다 체계적으로 교육하는 것을 통해, 학습자가 미래의 사회에서 보다 적극적으로 자신의 삶의 환경을 개선하고 발전시킬 수 있도록 해야한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 환경디자인 교육의 중요성에서 출발하여 의미있는 시사점을 얻기 위해 한국, 미국, 일본의 미술교육에서 환경디자인에 대한 내용과 교수학습절차를 비교하였다. 환경디자인 교육의 방향으로, 보다 포괄적 환경개념으로의 재정립과 다양한 환경디자인 분야의 수용, 환경디자인의 특성에 적합한 조형요소와 원리의 체계적 지도, 본질적이고 다양한 미적특질의 지도, 미술교과 내적 통합 · 타 교과와의 통합 · 문제해결학습과 같은 다양한 교수방법의 적용, 환경디자인 모형제작에 적합한 표현재료의 개발, 건축적 사고를 촉진하는 계획스케치의 사용과 같은 점들을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This analyses were to make evolutive orientations through comparative analytical approaches to environmental design contents of elementary textbooks among Korea, U.S.A, and Japan. Architectural environments are the significant cultures reflecting their aspirations, passions, emotions, intelligence and hearts. Human beings have always lived in architectural environments, which absolutely and strongly have influenced whole aspects of them. In art education, it is needed to recognize a significance and aesthetic values of environmental design education, and through some strategies for systematical teaching- learning we should ask students to develop renew their own's life environments. to get meaningful implications this analyses would compare with basic views and quantitative ratio of contents related to environmental design among korea, U.S.A, and Japan. Next I would compare with them in terms of six criteria, dividing into two areas of contents and the process of teaching-learning. To establish a foundation of environmental design education, I would suggested that followings, ⑴broadly re-conceptualization of ‘environment’, ⑵an acception of a variety of environmental design areas, ⑶strategies for teaching-learning of visual languages and principles fitted into characteristics of environmental design, ⑷guiding students in their studying various aesthetic experiences of environmental design, ⑸integrating with other areas, ⑹applying a variety of teaching methods such as problem-solving approach, ⑺using exemplars such as illustrations and planning sketches to foster architectural thinking.
