한국어교원의 사회통합프로그램 교수 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 사회통합프로그램에서 한국어를 가르치고 있는 한국어교원들의 교수 경험을 심층적이고 다면적으로 고찰해 보는 데에 있다. 방법 연구 방법으로 Clandinin과 Connelly가 제안한 질적 연구 방법 중의 하나인 내러티브 탐구 방법을 사용하여 대학 부설 어학기관에서는 일반목적 한국어를, 사회통합프로그램에서는 특수목적 한국어를 가르치고 있는 교원 5명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하고 녹취하여 전사하였다. 그리고 면담 전사 자료를 여러 번 반복해서 읽으면서 계속해서 나타나는 패턴, 줄거리, 주제 등을 찾아내기 위해 영역 분석과 분류 분석 방법을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 결과 연구 참여자 다섯 명의 사회통합프로그램 교수 경험을 분석한 결과 그들이 공통적으로 경험한 것은 ‘학습자들에게 공기와 같은 한국어 수업’, ‘쓰기가 딜레마인 수업’, ‘힐링과 고통 그리고 안쓰러움이 뒤따르는 수업’, ‘들어주려는 열린 마음이 필요한 수업’과 같이 4가지로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 한국어교원들의 사회통합프로그램 교수 경험을 세부적이고 구체적으로 탐색한 것에 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 대학 부설 어학기관에서 실시되는 일반목적 한국어 수업과 사회통합프로그램에서 실시되는 특수목적 한국어 수업의 차이점 및 사회통합프로그램에서만 나타나는 특성에 대해 파악된 내용을 바탕으로 사회통합프로그램에서 한국어를 배우는 이민자들을 더 효과적이고 효율적으로 가르칠 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 데에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 또한 급격히 늘어나고 있는 사회통합프로그램 학습자들에 대한 이해를 돕고 이들을 위한 한국어교육의 기반을 잡는 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the teaching experience of Korean language teachers teaching Korean in an in-depth and multifaceted manner in Korea Immigration and Integration Program. Methods Using the narrative inquiry method, one of the qualitative research methods proposed by Clandinin and Connelly, in-depth interviews were conducted with five teachers teaching Korean for general purpose at university language institutions and Korean for special purpose in Korea Immigration and Integration Program. In addition, the data were analyzed using the domain analysis and taxonomic analysis method to find patterns, threads, and theme that continued to appear while reading the interview transcription data several times repeatedly. Results As a result of analyzing the experiences of five Korea Immigration and Integration Program teachers, there were four common experiences: Korean classes like air for learners, classes where writing is a dilemma, classes followed by healing, pain and regret, and classes that need an open mind to listen. Conclusions This study is meaningful in that it explored in detail and specifically the experience of Korean language teachers teaching Korea Immigration and Integration Program. This study will help to come up with a more effective and efficient way to teach immigrants learning Korean in the Korea Immigration and Integration Program based on the differences between general purpose Korean classes and special purpose Korean classes in Korea Immigration and Integration Program. In addition, it can be used as a basic material to help understand the rapidly increasing number of learners of Korea Immigration and Integration Program and lay the foundation for Korean language education for them.
