평생교육과 접목한 효과적인 통일교육 방법과 프로그램 개발 방향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 평생교육 분야에서 효과적인 통일교육 방법과 프로그램 개발 방향을 도출하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 평생교육과 접목한 평화통일교육 프로그램을 2020년 8월-2020년 11월에 집중적으로 참관 하였으며, 강사, 실무자, 학습자 등 12명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 결과 그 결과 첫째, 평화 감수성을 자극하는 통일 이야기 샌드아트 체험, 유사한 남북한 놀이 활동, 탈북 강사의 북한 문화 체험 활동, 통일의 미래 가치 탐색 활동이 통일에 대한 시민들의 긍정적 인식 변화를 가져온 것으로 탐색되었다. 둘째, 양성된 통일교육지도자에 게 심화학습 기회 제공을 통해 지속적인 역량 개발이 필요하며, 통일교육 강사 동아리 육성을 통해 활용 방안을 강구해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 효과적인 통일교육 방법으로는 이론 강의 위주 보다 샌드아트 기법 등 다양한 매체 활용 방법, 이야기로 공감하는 방법, 퀴즈, 현장 견학, 놀이, 체험 학습, 게임, 토론 등으로 분석되었으며, 다양한 계층에 맞는 통일교육 방법이 개발되어야 할 것이다. 넷째, 평생 교육 분야에서 통일교육은 1) 시민참여교육으로써 통일교육 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 민주시민교육과 연계한 평화 교육, 더 나아가 세계 시민교육, 평화통일 시민 리더 양성에 중점을 두어야 한다. 2) 다문화 교육으로서의 통일 교육 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 남북한 놀이 및 문화 비교 접목, 다양한 매체와 통일이야기 접목, 평생교육 강사들의 통일교육 강좌 개발이 통일교육 확산에 영향을 줄 것으로 분석되었다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과 평생교육 분야에서 민주시민교육, 세계시민교육, 다문화 교육으로서의 통일교육 운영의 당위성과 평생교육 기관단체 관계자 및 통일교육 운영자들에게 통일교육 방법 및 프로그램 개발 방향에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study derived effective unification education methods and program development directions in the field of lifelong education. Methods To this end, the Peace and Unification Education Program combined with lifelong education was intensively observed from August 2020 to November 2020, and the results were derived through in-depth interviews with 12 instructors, practitioners, and learners. Results As a result, first, it was explored that the unification story sand art experience that stimulates peace sensitivity, similar inter-Korean play activities, North Korean defector instructor s North Korean culture experience activities, and future value exploration activities of unification led to positive changes in citizens perception of unification. Second, it is necessary to provide and utilize in-depth learning opportunities for trained unification education leaders, and to continuously develop competencies by fostering them as clubs. Third, effective unification education methods were analyzed such as how to use various media such as sand art techniques rather than theoretical lectures, how to empathize with stories, quizzes, field trips, play, hands-on learning, games, and discussions, and unification education methods should be developed for various classes. Second, it is necessary to continuously develop competencies by providing in-depth learning opportunities to trained unification education leaders, and it is necessary to devise utilization plans through fostering unification education instructor clubs. Third, effective unification education methods were analyzed such as how to use various media such as sand art techniques rather than theoretical lectures, how to empathize with stories, quizzes, field trips, play, hands-on learning, games, and discussions, and unification education methods should be developed for various classes. Fourth, in the field of lifelong education, unification education should 1) develop a unification education program as civic participation education. It should focus on peace education in connection with democratic citizenship education, furthermore global citizenship education, and fostering peaceful unification citizenship leaders. 2) Unification education programs as multicultural education should be developed. It was analyzed that the development of unification education courses by lifelong education instructors will affect the spread of unification education, including the comparison of play and culture between the inter-Korean, various media and unification stories. Conclusions As a result of this study, it provided justification for the operation of democratic citizenship education, global citizenship education, and unification education as multicultural education, and it provided implications for effective unification education methods and program development directions to officials from lifelong education institutions and unification education operators.
