국문 초록

이 연구는 박정희 시대 국가주의 교육이념이 어떻게 형성되었고 우리 사회에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 세 가지 교육이념을 중심으로 비판적 관점에서 탐색하고자 한다. 우리 사회는 점차 민주화되어 가고 있지만, 극우 집회 등을 통해 나타나는 반공, 애국, 이데올로기 뿐만 아니라 사회 전반에 뿌리 깊게 남아 있는 권위주의는 박정희 시대 강력하게 추진된 국가주의 교육 유산으로 볼 수 있다. 박정희 시대 국가주의 교육은 크게 반공교육, 국민교육헌장, 유신교육으로 나누어 진행되었다. 국가주의 교육은 해방과 한국전쟁 이후 가난에서 벗어나고자 했던 우리 국민을 통합해 경제발전을 이룩하게 하는 긍정적인 역할을 했다. 반면 국가를 권력자와 동일시함으로써 박정희의 권력 강화와 유지를 위한 수단으로 사용되기도 하였다. 박정희 시대 국가주의 교육이념은 우리 사회에 차별과 배제, 개인의 가치에 대한 소외, 권위주의를 재생산하는 등 반세기가 넘은 지금까지도 영향을 미치고 있다.

영문 초록

The study aims to explore from a critical point of view focusing on three ideology how the nationalist educational ideology of the Park Chung-hee era was formed and how it has affected Korea society. Although the society is gradually becoming democratized, authoritarianism as well as anti-communist and patriotism deeply rooted in the society can be seen as the nationalist educational heritage powerfully promoted during the Park Chung-hee era. The nationalist education of the Park Chung-hee era focused on anti-communist education, the charter of national education and Yushin education. The nationalist education played a affirmative role in achieving rapid economic development by integrating Koreans who strived to escape from poverty after the liberation and the Korean War. On the other hand, three educational ideologies were used as a means to strengthen and maintain Park s power by identifying a state with a person in power. The nationalist educational ideology of the Park Chung-hee era has been influencing Korean society for more than half a century, reproducing discrimination and exclusion, alienation of individual values, and authoritarianism.
