간호대학생의 자아존중감, 전공만족도 및 진로정체감 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 자아존중감과 전공만족도 및 진로정체감 간의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 시도하였다. 연구대상자는 부산광역시와 경상남도 소재 간호학과에 재학 중인 임상실습 경험이 있는 3, 4학년 162명으로 자가 설문지를 이용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 17.0프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계, 피어슨 상관계수 및 다중선형회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 일반적 특성에 따른 자아존중감은 간호사에 대한 이미지가 긍정적일 경우, 진로정체감은 간호사에 대한 이미지가 긍정적일 경우와 입학동기가 자신이 선택한 경우에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 자아존중감, 전공만족도 및 진로정체감은 정적인 상관관계로 통계적으로 유의하였고, 진로정체감에 영향을 미치는 요인에서 자아존중감이 높을수록, 전공만족도가 높을수록 진로정체감이 높다고 설명하였다. 따라서 간호대학생이 간호사에 대한 이미지를 높게 지각한 것이 자아존중감과 진로정체감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치므로 진로지도 시간을 통해 간호사는 가치 있고 보람된 일을 하고 전문적임을 강화시킬 수 있는 다양한 방안들이 제공되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships between nursing students’ self-esteem, career identity and major satisfaction. The participants of this study were 162 nursing students attending three or four grade in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Data were collected from 1, September to 30, September in 2011, by using self-report questionnaires consisted of the questions about their characteristics and the major satisfaction, self-esteem and career identity. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression. The results of this study were as followings. This study showed statistically significant difference in terms of their self-esteem and career identity according to the positive nurses’ images. And nursing student’s self-esteem, major satisfaction, career identity show positive correlation. The self esteem or the major satisfaction was higher, the career identity was higher. These results indicate that nursing career counseling to students about the nurse’s job is worth. And we need to find ways to promote career identities appropriately.
