온라인 플로우 측정의 개발과 타당성 분석

국문 초록

최근 온라인상의 고객행동을 설명하는 개념으로 주목받고 있는 플로우의 측정도구를 새롭게 개발하고 타당성을 검토하였다. 국내 플로우 연구들은 즐거움이라는 개념을 확장하여 플로우를 측정하는 한계를 가지고 있다. 그러므로 플로우의 하위개념을 도출함으로써 플로우 측정을 위한 체계적인 접근이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 기존의 연구를 검토하여 즐거움 이외에, 원격 실재감, 상실적 몰두, 탐색 호기심 등을 플로우의 하위개념으로 포함하였다. 뿐만 아니라 온라인 맥락에서 플로우와 관련이 높은 쇼핑, 게임, 그리고 공동체 세 가지 맥락에서 플로우 측정의 공통점과 특수성을 반영하였다. 쇼핑, 게임, 그리고 공동체에서 플로우 하위 요소들의 차순위 요인구조의 유형을 제시하였다. 새로운 측정에 의해서 개발된 플로우 개념은 쇼핑, 게임, 그리고 공동체 맥락에서 상이한 구조의 하위개념을 형성하는 것으로 나타났는데 이를 통해서 플로우 지각의 심도, 기반, 그리고 유형의 검토가 필요함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, flow has been dealt as an important construct for understanding consumer characteristics and behaviors especially online context. Although tremendous researches have been examined, flow measurements have been limited to develop because flow was conceptualized just as enjoyable or playfulness. As few literatures have tried to expand flow concept, it is still not enough to contain the broad concept of flow. Hence, the authors tried to figure out flow in the perspective of its originality rather than limited one. In order to develop measurements reflecting inclusive flow concept, the authors adopted sub-dimensional measurement model of flow. Four sub-dimensions of flow were consisted of playfulness, tele-presence, lost of self-consciousness, and exploratory curiosity. For understanding flow in online context, each sub-dimension varied into online shopping, game, and community. The 293 data collected from college student survey. To test validity of developed measurement, second-order confirmatory factor analysis were examined for each context. From initial second-order factor (flow), results showed different types of new higher-order factors. After analyzing new factor structure, new constructs regarding flow were proposed. That were proactive and reactive, realistic and unknown, and interactive and individual flow.
