간호대학생의 문화 간 의사소통과 공감이 문화적 역량에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 문화적 역량, 문화 간 의사소통과 공감수준을 확인하고자 하며, 이를 통해 문화적 역량에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 G 광역시 3개 간호대학의 간호대학생 199명을 대상으로 자가보고식 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 2019년 4월 5일부터 4월 30일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS/WIN 24.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며 기술통계, t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과 간호대학생의 다문화 관련 특성 중 외국어 구사능력과 외국인과의 경험 정도는 문화적 역량에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 또한 간호대학생의 문화적 역량은 문화 간 의사소통(r=.49, p<.001) 및 공감(r=.27, p<.05)과 통계적으로 유의한 양적 상관관계를 보였다. 그리고 간호대학생의 문화적 역량의 영향요인은 문화 간 의사소통(β=.45, p<.001), 공감(β=.37, p<.001), 외국어 구사능력(β=.19, p<.001) 및 외국인과의 교류 경험(β=.09, p=.011)으로 나타났으며 총 65%의 설명력을 보여주었다. 연구결과를 통해 다문화 간호교육과정을 개발하고 운영 시 문화적 역량의 하위 구성요소와 영향요인들을 수업설계에 포함하고, 문화 간 의사소통과 공감능력 증진을 통한 문화적 역량 강화 프로그램을 개발할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study was to determine cultural competence, intercultural communication skill ability, empathy ability, and influencing factors of cultural competence in nursing college students. The study subjects consisted of 199 nursing college students who completed a informed consent. Data were collected through self-reported structured questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 24.0. The significant factors influencing cultural competence of nursing college students were fluency in speaking foreign languages and exchange of foreigners. There was a significant positive correlation between cultural competence, intercultural communica -tion skill ability(r=.49, p<.001), and empathy ability(r=.27, p<.05) in nursing college students. These factors explained 65% of the variance intercultural communication skill ability(β=.45, p<.001), empathy ability(β=.37, p<.001), fluency in speaking foreign languages(β=.19, p<.001), and exchange of foreigners(β=.09, p=.011) in cultural competence of nursing college students. These results suggests developing nursing educational programs using these influencing factors and providing diverse practicum to enhance cultural competence for nursing students.
