국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 미국의 주(州) 단위 대안평가의 개발 및 시행 사례를 살펴보고 우리나라 장애학생을 위한 대안평가에 대한 시사점을 모색하는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 미국 대안평가 대상 및 선정 기준, 오레곤주 대안평가의 구조와 개발, 평가 시행과정 및 현황 등의 구체적인 사례를 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 우리나라 장애학생을 위한 대안평가 개발에 대한 시사점을 대안평가 대상의 규모와 배치 현황, 대안평가 개발을 위한 대안 교육과정, 교과 대안평가가 어려운 학생을 위한 관찰평가, 그리고 대안평가의 시행 측면에서 논의하였다. 마지막으로 우리나라 대안평가 개발을 위해 대안 교육과정에 대한 심도 깊은 연구와 장애학생의 교육권 보장을 위한 지속적인 대안평가 관련 연구의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the development and implementation of statewide alternate assessment in the United States and to suggest implications for alternate assessment for students with disabilities in Korea. For this purpose, this paper reviewed and discussed how to determine the eligibility for participation, how to develop and implement the alternate assessment, and how many students with disabilities participated in the assessment through the Oregon state’s case. Based on this, the research discussed the implications of developing alternate assessment for disabled students in Korea in terms of the scale of eligible students for the alternate assessment and the present placement of those students, the alternate curriculum for alternate assessment development, the observational assessment for students who are unable to be evaluated by alternate assessment, and implementation of alternate assessment. Lastly, this study suggested the in-depth study of the alternate curriculum for the development of alternative assessment and the necessity of continuous research on alternate assessment to guarantee the right of education for students with disabilities.
