국문 초록

이 연구는 자율형사립고 재지정 이슈와 관련하여 R을 이용한 텍스트마이닝을 활용하여 주요 언론사의 칼럼을 분석하고, 특정 이슈를 다루는 언론사 간 논조와 여론인식의 차이를 살폈다. 그리고 이를 통해 우리나라 교육정책, 특히 자율형사립고를 일반고로 전환하는 것이 학생과 학부모에게 어떤 의미가 있는지를 파악하고 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 분석결과 자율형사립고 재지정 이슈에 대한 보수언론과 진보언론의 뚜렷한 논조 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 보수언론은 자율형사립고 지정취소에 반대하는 태도를 보였고, 교육감과 교육청, 나아가 문재인 정부의 자율형사립고 폐지를 정치적 목적을 갖는 행위로 바라보고 있었다. 둘째, 반면 진보언론은 자율형사립고 지정 취소에 찬성하는 태도를 보였으며, 대학진학과 입시를 위한 기관으로 전락해버린 자율형사립고를 일반고로 전환함으로써 공교육 정상화가 가능하다고 보고 있었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the columns of major press companies by using text mining using R in relation to the issue of re-designation of autonomous private high school, and examines the differences in the tone of argument and public opinions perception between press companies dealing with specific issues. Through this, we tried to understand the Korean education policy, especially the meaning to change over from autonomous private high school to general high school, and to draw implications for students and parents. As a result of the analysis, we found that there is a clear difference between the conservative and progressive press on the re-designation of autonomous private high school. First, the conservative press opposed the cancellation of re-designation of autonomous private high school, and considered the abolition of autonomous private high school by the Superintendent, the Office of Education, and the Moon Jae-In regime as a political act. Second, the progressive press supported to cancel the re-designation of autonomous private high school, and regarded the normalization of public education which has become an institution for university entrance examination by converting autonomous private school to general high school.
