여성 성인학습자의 진로가치에 대한 합의적 질적 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 여성 성인학습자들의 진로가치를 탐색하고 정리하여, 일반 대학생과 구별되는 여성 성인학습자의 진로선택기준을 이해하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 원격대학에 재학 중인 여성 성인학습자 169명에게 질문지를 배부하여 자료를 수집하였고 합의적 질적 분석-수정본(CQR-M)의 절차에 따라 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과, 여성 성인학습자의 진로가치는 크게 ‘일 자체의 속성’과 ‘일의 환경적 특성’의 두 영역으로 구분되었다. ‘일 자체의 속성’ 영역에는 나에게 맞는 일, 보람과 성취감을 느끼는 일, 즐겁고 행복한 일, 잘할 수 있는 일, 사회에 기여하는 일, 도덕적인 일 등 6개 범주가 포함되었고, ‘일의 환경적 특성’ 영역에는 수용가능한 보수, 사회적 인정, 안정적으로 오래 할 수 있는 일, 시간적 여유가 있는 일, 자유롭고 관계지향적인 조직문화, 일-가정 병행, 신체적·정신적으로 덜 힘든 일, 편리한 근무환경 등 8개 범주가 포함되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 여성 성인학습자의 특성을 고려한 진로검사 및 진로서비스의 개발 필요성 및 추후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the career value of female adult learners. In this study, 169 female adults who study in Korea National Open University answered to a questionnaire asking the career choice criteria, and the data were analyzed by a consensual qualitative research-modified(CQR-M). As a result, six categories were derived regarding the characteristics of the work itself; what suits me, what I feel rewarded and fulfilled, what I enjoy, what I can do well, what contributes to society, what is moral. and eight categories were derived regarding the environmental characteristics of work; acceptable salary, social recognition, long-lasting work, time-free work, relationship- oriented organizational culture, work & family balance, physically and mentally less demanding work, convenient working environment. Based on these results, discussion was suggested on the necessity of the development of career inventory and career services for female adult learners and suggestion for future study were proposed.
