국문 초록

본 연구는 교양교육의 개선을 도모하고 신입생에게 적실한 교육경험을 제공하기 위해 학습자의 내재적 동기에 강한 영향을 미치는 자기효능감, 목표지향성, 학습참여와 교양교육 만족도의 구조적 관계를 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 2019년 5월 20일부터 2019년 5월 31일까지 인천광역시에 위치한 4년제 I대학의 신입생 중 기초필수교과목을 수강하고 설문에 자발적으로 참여한 464명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학 신입생의 자기효능감, 목표지향성, 학습참여와 교양교육 만족도의 구조적 관계를 분석한 결과 숙달목표지향과 수행접근목표지향, 자기효능감은 학습참여에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 학습참여는 교양교육 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 숙달목 표지향과 수행접근목표지향, 자기효능감은 교양교육 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습참여가 대학 신입생의 자기효능감, 목표지향성과 교양교육 만족도의 관계를 매개하는지 확인해 본 결과 수행접근목표지향과 자 기효능감은 학습참여를 매개로 하여 교양교육 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 숙달목표지향은 교양교육 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않고, 학습참여를 매개로 하는 간접적인 영향 역시 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among the self-efficacy, goal orientation, student engagement, and satisfaction with general education, which have a strong influence on the learners intrinsic motivation in order to improve the general education and provide the proper educational experience for college freshmen. It was surveyed 464 students of the freshmen at four-year university in Incheon from May 20 to May 31, 2019. The students who are taking basic required course participated in this survey spontaneously, and the result is as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the structural relationship of the freshmen’s self-efficacy, goal orientation, student engagement and satisfaction with general education, the mastery goal orientation, performance-approach goal orientation, and self-efficacy have a significant effect on student engagement. And also it showed that the student engagement influences considerably the satisfaction of general education. On the other hand, the mastery goal orientation, performance approach goal orientation, and self-efficacy did not have a direct effect on the satisfaction of general education. Second, as a result of examination whether the student engagement intermediates the relationship of the freshmen’s self-efficacy, goal orientation, and satisfaction with general education, the performance approach goal orientation and self-efficacy influence significantly on the satisfaction with general education thorough the student engagement. Meanwhile, the mastery goal orientation didn’t influence on the satisfaction with general education directly not also had an indirect effect through student engagement, too.
