국문 초록

이 논문은 제주 인문 사회 분야 R&E 프로그램의 개발과 운영 사례를 통해 R&E 프로그램의 지역화교육 프로그램으로서 가능성을 살펴보고 시사점을 제시하였다. 이 논문의 분석대상은 제주지역의 여건과 특성을 고려하여 구성되고 운영된 2016년부터 3년간의 제주 인문 사회 분야 R&E 프로그램의 개발과 운영과정이다. 실험적으로 운영된 2016년 R&E 프로그램은 8월 말부터 12월 중순까지, 2017년과 2018년은 5월 말부터 12월 말까지 운영되었고, 자료 수집은 R&E 활동 연구결과물 발표회 때 집중적 으로 이루어졌다. 분석에는 참여관찰과 R&E 활동 참여자들 일부에 대한 심층면담자료와 설문조사결과가 활용되었다. 연구결과 다음과 같은 점들을 알 수 있었다. 우선 이 논문의 사례는 학생들이 지역, 국가, 세계의 연관성 속에서 지역을 이해하고 지역의 문제에 관심을 갖고 그 해결책을 찾아가는 지역인의 양성과 이들의 지역정체성함양에 주안점을 두고 개발된 R&E 프로그램이라는 점에 의미를 부여할 수 있다. R&E 활동의 목표를 어디에 두느냐에 따라 R&E 프로그램의 성격이 달라질 수 있다는 것을 이 논문의 사례는 보여준다. 다음으로 이 논문의 사례 분석 결과 R&E 프로그램이 학생들의 지역사회 이해와 지역문제에 대한 관심을 확장시키는 효과가 있다 는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 인문 사회 분야 R&E 프로그램은 지역화교육에서 의미 있는 성취를 이룰 수 있고 미래시대의 흐름과 요구에 부응하는 프로그램으로서 일정한 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다. 이 논문은 교육의 지역화 차원에서 R&E 프로그램을 개발하고 운영하는데 있어서 하나의 모델로서 제안되었다. 따라서 이 연구의 결과를 일반화하기 위해서는 여타 R&E 운영 사례들에 대한 연구와 비교연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This paper examines the possibility of R&E program as a localization education program and suggests implications for Jeju humanities and social sciences R&E program. The analysis target of this paper is the develop and operation Jeju’s three-year R&E program for humanities and social sciences in Jeju from 2016, which was constructed and operated in consideration of the circumstances and characteristics of Jeju. The experimentally run 2016 R&E program ran from late August to mid-December, 2017 and 2018 ran from late May to late December, and data collection was intensively conducted during presentations on the results of R&E activities. Specific analyses used in-depth interview data and survey results for some participants in the participation and R&E activities. The following points were found in the study. First of all, the paper s example could be meaningful in that it is an R&E program developed with a focus on fostering locals who understand the region and care about local problems and seek solutions in connection with the region, the country and the world. An analysis example of this paper shows that the nature of the R&E program may vary depending on where the objectives of the R&E activity are placed. Next, the case analysis of this paper confirms that the R&E program is effective in expanding students understanding of the community and interest in local issues. The humanities and social sciences R&E program can play a certain role as a program that can fulfill meaningful achievements and contribute to localization education and respond to the trends and demands of the future age. This paper was proposed as a model in developing and operating R&E programs in terms of localization of education. Therefore, in order to generalize the results of this study, it is necessary to conduct research and comparative studies on other R&E operation cases. This is a future research project.
