국문 초록

본 연구는 스마트폰에 쉽게 노출되어 있는 초등학교 고학년 아동들을 대상으로 스마트폰중독과 학교생활적응 관계에서 자기조절력 및 부모-자녀 간 의사소통의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적을 둔 실증적 조사연구이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 광주광역시 N구에 소재한 초등학교 4~6학년 409명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 2017년 10월 16~20일까지 5일 간 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 설문자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 검증, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 스마트폰중독, 자기조절력, 부모-자녀간 의사소통, 학교생활적응 간의 유의한 관련성이 나타났고, 스마트폰중독, 자기조절력, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통은 학교생활적응을 설명하는 유의한 변인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스마트폰중독과 학교생활적응 관계에서 아동의 자기조절력과 부모-자녀 간 의사소통의 부분매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 아동들이 스마트폰중독에서 벗어나 원만한 학교생활을 할 수 있도록 학교에서는 아동들의 자기조절력을 향상할 수 있는 프로그램을 적용하고 가정에서는 지속적인 부모-자녀 간 개방적인 의사소통이 이루어질 수 있는 분위기를 조성해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is an objective research intended to verify the mediator effect of self-regulation and communication between parents and children in the relation of smartphone addiction and school life adaptation targeting upper grades of elementary school that are exposed to smartphones easily. For accomplishment of this study, 409 of fourth to sixth graders in a elementary school located in N-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City were selected as subjects of the study, and a survey was done for 5 days from October 16 to October 20, 2017. On the collected survey data, frequency analysis, reliability verification, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were done with the use of SPSS program. The result is as follows. First, there was a significant relationship among smartphone addiction, self-regulation, communication between parents and children, and school life adaptation, and smartphone addiction, self-regulation, and communication between parents and children were significant variables that explain school life adaptation. Second, in the relation between smartphone addiction and school life adaptation, the partial mediator effect of children s self-regulation and communication between parents and children was significant. Therefore, for children to free from smartphone addiction and to lead smooth school life, it is necessary to adopt programs that can improve children s self-regulation in school and to establish the environment for constant communication between parents and children at home.
