국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 군 복무 후 복학한 남자 간호대학생의 학교 생활 경험의 의미를 파악하고 군 복무 후 복학한 남자 간호대학생에 대한 심층적인 이해를 통해 군 복무 후 복학한 남자 간호대학생의 학교 생활 적응을 돕기 위한 중재 개발 시 기초자료를 제공하고자 함이다. 자료수집을 위해 2017년 6월 15일부터 10월 13일까지 군 복무 후 복학한 11명의 남자 간호대학생을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법을 통해 분석한 결과, ‘여성주류의 환경과 변 화된 인간관계로 인한 소외감’, ‘간호학 수행에 대한 자신감 상실’로 나타난 2개의 주제묶음에서 ‘복학 초기의 위축됨’ 범주가 도출되었고, ‘남자 간호대학생에 무관심한 학교 체제에 실망함’, ‘간호학과 내에서 보상받지 못함’, ‘간호학 선택에 대한 회의감’으로 나타난 3개의 주제묶음에서 ‘믿음이 무너짐’ 범주가 도출되었다. 그리고 ‘간호학과 내 지지체계를 활용함’, ‘내적 성숙함을 발휘함’, ‘부정적 감정을 승화함’으로 나타난 3개의 주제 묶음에서 ‘적응 전략을 모색함’ 범주가 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 군 복무 후 복학한 남자 간호대학생의 학교 생활 적응을 돕기 위한 중 재 개발과 적용의 필요성에 관하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning behind the school life experiences of male nursing college student reinstated at school after military service and to provide basic data for the development of intervention programs that will help male nursing students returning to school after military services based on in-depth understanding of their school life experiences. For data collection, a focus group interview was conducted from June 15 to October 13, 2017 with 11 male nursing students who have returned to school after military service. The analysis of collected data through the Colaizzi s phenomenological method has drawn out a category intimidated at an early stage after returning to school in the two-subject bundle represented as loneliness due to the women s dominant environment and changed human relationships and loss of confidence in fulfilling the nursing. On top of this, a category collapsed faith was concluded from the three-subject bundle that revealed disappointed by the school system indifferent to selecting the nursing , failed to be compensated within the nursing and felt doubted about selecting the nursing. A category sought adaptation strategies also came out in the three-subject bundle represented as utilized support system within the nursing, demonstrated internal maturity and sublimated negative feelings . Based on the results, this study discussed the need for the development and application of intervention programs to assist the adaptation to school life of male nursing students who are returning to school after military service.
