플립드 러닝의 교실 수업 학습 활동에 대한 사례 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 플립드 러닝의 교실 수업 학습 활동을 설계, 운영, 평가하여 교수자들에게 실제적인 안내를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 대학의 교직과목인 <교육방법 및 교육공학> 교과목을 플립드 러닝으로 개발, 운영, 평가 하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교실 수업 학습 활동은 교육 목표에 따라 문제풀이, 토의, 사례분석, 실습, PBL을 활용할 수 있다. 둘째, 학습자들은 상대적으로 인지적 부담이 적은 사례분석과 실습을 선호하고 토의와 PBL은 어려워하였다. 셋째, 문제풀이는 학습 내용 이해 및 적용에 도움이 되었다. 넷째, 토의는 상호작용 과 학습 내용 이해 및 공유에 도움이 되었다. 다섯째, 사례분석은 학습 내용에 대한 이해와 적용에 도움이 되었다. 여섯째, 실습은 사전 학습 내용을 경험하는 데 도움이 되었다. 일곱째, PBL은 학습 내용을 이해하고 적용하는데 도움이 되었으며 학습자 들이 성취감을 느꼈다. 한편 학습자들은 어려운 활동에 대해서는 시간과 노력이 필요하다는 제한점이 있다고 평가하였다. 따라서 플립드 러닝 교실 수업의 학습 활동을 개발할 때는 교육 목표를 달성할 수 있는 활동을 선택해야 하고, 학습자들이 학습 활동에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 사전과제 제시, 활동에 대한 충분한 안내, 내적 동기부여가 함께 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide practical guidance to the instructors by designing, implementing, and formative evaluating the learning activities in class for flipped learning. To accomplish this goal, the subject was developed as flipped learning and evaluated by learners. The main results are as follows. First, we can develop classroom learning activities using quiz, discussion, case study, practice, and PBL based on educational goals. Second, learners preferred ‘case study’ and ‘practice’ than ‘discussion’ and ‘PBL’ because there was little cognitive overload. Third, ‘quizzes’ helped learners understand the learning contents. Fourth, ‘discussion’ provided learners opportunities for interaction and helped understanding the learning content. Fifth, ‘case study’ allowed learners to understand the learning contents and apply them. Sixth, ‘practice’ gave learners an opportunity to do their own work. Seventh, PBL gave learners an opportunity to understand learning contents and apply them. It also made learners feel accomplishment. Although these learning activities have many strengths, learners have noted that difficult activities have limitations in that they require knowledge, time, and effort. Therefore, when developing the classroom learning activities of the flipped learning, it is necessary to select the activities that can achieve the educational goals, and to present the pre-assignments, sufficient guidance and internal motivation for learners to actively participate in the classroom learning activities.
