Tourism is one of the greatest and indispensable industries in the world. Tourism has economic and social advantages for the world regions. After the first jet engine passenger aircraft start operated, tourism has found the vehicle which it needs. Aircrafts fly long distances comfortably and safely. Tourism has massive importance for Turkish economy. Most of the tourist prefer airway while visiting Turkey. Without air transportation tourism couldn‘t be massive in world and Turkey. Turkish airline industry has big effect on Turkish tourism. Turkish private civil airlines started their operation after 80’s as a tourist operator. And then when they big and strong enough after 03’s they started operate in domestic routes and give service in domestic tourism activities. Tourism and airline industries are dependent each other. Because of this every step which enhances airline industry make positive effect in tourism. In this paper we examine the importance of airline industry for Turkish tourism.
