영문 초록

Chinese classical gardens are parts of the greatest tourist attractions, and some of them like Suzhou classical Gardens have been in the list of World Cultural Heritage for years. Artistic conceptualization is a spiritualization of the classical Chinese artistic pursuit. The picturesque Chinese classic garden, enjoying the reputation of “spatial embodiment of poetry and cubic extension of painting”, contains the aesthetics of poetry and configuration of painting, therefore reflects the same artistic pursuits of landscape painting and poetry. This paper evaluates the artistic conceptualization of the Chinese classic gardens from the perspectives of the artistic pursuit of the garden owners, the genuine particularity of the garden creators as well as the wild aesthetic imagination of the garden tourists. Hence, the garden owner, the garden creator and the garden tourist reflect the complementary “trinity” of the artistic conceptualization of the Chinese classic garden.
