리더의 펀 리더십이 해기사의 직무만족에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 선박이라는 특수 환경에서 근무하는 한국 해기사의 건강을 간접적으로 확인하기 위해 해기사의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 중 요인을 확인해 보고자 연구를 시도하였다. 해기사들이 직무와 깊은 관련이 있는 관리자 중 선장의 펀 리더십을 바탕으로 해기사가 느끼는 직무만족과 피로와의 매개관계를 확인하였다. 대상자는 한국에 소속되어 있는 해기사 291명을 대상으로 하였으며, 분석은 빈도분석, 평균과 표준편차, 일원배치분산분석(One-Way ANOVA)와 t-test, Pearson Correlation Coefficient 및 피로의 매개효과에 대한 유의성 검증을 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 결과는 선박이라는 공간 안에서 모든 생활이 이루어지는 해기사는 리더 인 선장의 펀 리더십이 높을수록 해기사가 느끼는 직무만족이 높았으며(r=-.300, p<.001), 해기사가 지각하는 피로는 낮게 나타났다(r=-.228,p<.001). 해기사의 직무만족에 영향을 미치는 변수는 펀 리더십으로 피로가 매개변수 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 선박에서의 사고나 건강관리를 위한 기초 작업은 해기사의 직무만족을 높이고 이를 관리하기 위해서 리더는 리더십 중 펀 리더십을 발휘하여 해기사들의 피로를 낮추는 것이 중요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing marine officers’ job satisfaction as an indirect measure of health in order to verify the health of Korean marine officers’ working in a special environment of ship. With the managers those who deeply linked with marine officers’ job, the mediating relationship between marine officers’ job satisfaction and fatigue was examined via fun leadership of sea captains. Study subjects were 291 marine officers’ working for a South Korean company. To analyze the data, frequency, mean, and standard deviation were computed, and one-way ANOVA, t-test, and correlational analysis (Pearson correlation) were conducted. Additionally, Sobel test was performed to test for statistical significance of the mediating effect of fatigue, The results showed that the higher the fun leadership of a sea captain, the higher the job satisfaction (r=-.300, p<.001) and the lower the perceived fatigue (r=-.228, p<.001) in marine officers’ whose work life activities are confined to the space of a ship. Fun leadership influenced marine technician s job satisfaction, and fatigue was a mediator. Therefore, it is required to increase their job satisfaction to prevent accidents on ship and mange marine officers’ health. Moreover, to manage job satisfaction, it is important for sea captains to demonstrate fun leadership to help marine officers’ reduce fatigue.
