국문 초록

본 연구는 온라인 독서토론대회 본선 참가자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여대회의 교육적 효과를 점검하고,학생들의 인식을 수렴하여,비교과 활동의 하나인 온라인 독서토론대회를 활성화하는 데 목적이 있다.제1회,제2회 온라인 숙명독서토론대회 본선에 진출한 학생들을 대상으로 진행된 설문조사는 독서토론대회에 미친 대학 교양교육의 효과성,대회의 교육적 효과성과 독서토론 방식의 적절성,온라인 대회운영의 적절성과 효과성으로 진행되었다.이를 통해 온라인(ZOOM)에서 실시간 진행된 독서토론대회 전반에 걸쳐 학생들의 인식을 비교 분석하고 개선점을 모색하였다. 독서토론대회가 보다 효과적으로 진행되기 위해서는 대학 교양교육에서 토론과 글쓰기 교육이 활성화되고,교과 및 비교과의 연계가 필요하며,독서토론대회에 학생들의참가를 높이기 위해 적절한 주제와 지정 도서를 선정할 필요성과 온라인 공간에 청중들의 역할과 참여가 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to conduct a survey of participants in the final round of the online reading debate contest to check the educational effectiveness of the contest, collect students’ perceptions, and revitalize the online reading debate contest, which is one of the extracurricular activities. A survey conducted on students who advanced to the finals of the 1st and 2nd Online Sookmyung Reading Debate Competition was conducted to determine the effectiveness of university liberal arts education on the Reading debate competition, the educational effectiveness of the competition, the appropriateness of the Reading discussion method, and the effectiveness of the online competition operation. It was conducted with appropriateness and effectiveness. Through this, students’ perceptions were compared and analyzed throughout the reading discussion contest held in real time online (ZOOM) and areas for improvement were sought. In order for the Reading debate competition to be conducted more effectively, discussion and writing education must be activated in university liberal arts education, connection between subject and non-curricular subjects is necessary, and there is a need to select appropriate topics and designated books to increase student participation in the Reading debate competition. It was suggested that the role and participation of the audience in online space is necessary.
