국문 초록

본 연구는 학습자에게 바람직한 공동체 형성에 있어 중요한 소통의 의미와 요건을학습하기 위한 소설 읽기의 한 방안으로 이청준의 『당신들의 천국』을 소통의 관점에서 읽을 것을 제안하고자 한다. 문학교육의 차원에서 이 텍스트는 인물 간 갈등을 통하여 소통의 문제에 접근함으로써 소통의 의미와 중요성을 인식할 수 있다.또한 소통의 관점에서 소통의 부재를의미하는 침묵,그리고 나와 타자 간 차이의 인정 및 개별자로서의 존재 수용의 문제를 다룰 수 있다.아울러 소통의 문제를 해소하여 하나의 공동체로 나아가기 위한 실천으로 제시된 자유와 사랑의 개념에 대해 접근하고 이해할 수 있는 학습 제재로 활용될 수 있다. 『당신들의 천국』이 드러내고 있는 소통의 문제적 접근과 요건,실천에 대한 탐색은오늘날 소통의 의미와 중요성을 인식하고 이를 바탕으로 바람직한 공동체 형성을 위한 요건을 탐색해보는 방향으로 나아갈 수 있다.이와 같이 본고에서 제안하고 있는소통의 관점에서 『당신들의 천국』을 읽어가는 교육 방안은,진정한 소통과 연대를 위한 요건을 학습자들이 이해하고 이를 내면화함으로써 공동체 구성원으로서 공동체에참여하는 태도를 기를 수 있도록 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study proposes reading Lee Cheong-jun’s Your Heaven from the perspective of communication as a way of reading novels to learn the meaning and requirements of communication, which are crucial in forming a desirable community for learners. From the perspective of literary education, this text approaches the problem of communication through conflict between characters, allowing us to recognize the meaning and importance of communication. Furthermore, from the standpoint of communication, it is possible to deal with the issues of silence; the absence of communication, the recognition of differences between oneself and others, and the acceptance of existence as an individual. Additionally, it can serve as a learning tool to approach and understand the concepts of freedom and love presented as a practice to solve communication problems and move forward as a single community. The exploration of the problematic approaches, requirements, and practices of communication revealed in Your Heaven can move toward recognizing the meaning and importance of communication today and exploring the requirements for forming a desirable community based on this. Accordingly, the educational plan for reading Your Heaven from the perspective of communication proposed in this article consists in helping learners develop an attitude of participating in the community as its members by understanding and internalizing the requirements for true communication and solidarity.
