청소년 사이버폭력 목격 척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

청소년들의 사이버폭력 피해 경험은 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 반면, 사이버 폭력의 특성상 가해자에 대해 특정을 바로하기 어렵고, 피해사실 증명도 상시 이루어지기 어렵다는 점에서 사이버폭력이 청소년들의 정신건강 및 삶의 질에 미치는 부정적인 영향들은 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 사이버폭력 상황에서 즉각적인 개입과 옹호자로서의 역할을 할 수 있는 목격자들에 대해서 주목하여, 사이버 폭력 목격 정도를 측정하는 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기 개발된 사이버폭력 피 가해 척도를 기반하여 언어폭력, 명예훼손, 소외, 플레이밍, 성폭력 영역별로 목격경험을 측정할 수 있는 문항들로 수정하고, 398명을 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하였다. 예비조사 결과와 전문가 논의를 거쳐 언어폭력 4문항, 명예훼손 3문항, 성폭력 4문항, 소외 3문항, 플레이밍 3문항의 총 17문항을 최종 선정하였다. 이후 총 458명의 중 고등학생들에게 본 조사를 실시하였고 그 결과 5개 요인 구조 모형의적합도가 높게 나타나 목격척도의 구인타당도가 확인되었다. 또한 사이버폭력 피 가해척도와 상관분석을 통해 준거타당도를 확인하였으며, 무작위 배정된 두 집단 간 비교 및 학교급 집단 간 비교를 통해 척도의 구조 동일성을분석하여 교차타당도 또한 확인되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계 그리고 후속 연구에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Cyberbullying affects students’ mental health and quality of life in that it is difficult to pinpoint the perpetrators due to the nature of cyberbullying and to prove the fact of damage all the time. Therefore, the aim of current study focused on developing a scale to measure the degree of cyberbullying bystander experience since bystanders are the one who can intervene the scene immediately as advocates, Based on the previously developed cyberbullying violence victim and perpetrator scale, we revised the items to measure the bystander experience in each of the areas, verbal violence, defamation, alienation, flaming, and sexual violence and conducted preliminary survey with 398 secondary school students. A total 17 items were finally selected based on preliminary results and consultation: verbal violence(4 items), defamation(3 items), sexual violence (4 items), alienation(3 items), and flaming(3 items). The main survey was conducted with 458 adolescents and the finding of confirmatory factor analysis supported the five factor model of cyberbullying bystander scale, demonstrating the construct validity. In addition, criterion validity was confirmed through correlation analysis with the cyberbullying victim/injury scale, and crossvalidation was also confirmed by analyzing the structural identity of the scale through comparison between two randomly assigned groups and between school-level groups. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study and follow-up studies were discussed.
