다변량 다중비교 결과의 시각화에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 먼저 다변량 다중비교 결과의 시각화는 물론 집단자료에 대한 위치화 및 군집화 기법들의 근거가 될 수 있는 집단간 거리를 ‘독립표본 Hotelling의 T²-검정’에서의 유의확률을 이용하여 정의한다. 물론 유의확률들을 계산할 때 정규성 및 공분산행렬의 동일성이라는 가정에 구애받지 않도록 ‘수정된 Hotelling의 T²-검정’의 통계량과 부스트랩 기법의 사용을 권한다. 유의확률의 역수에 대한 대수변환을 통해 유의확률들의 행렬로부터 거리행렬을 만든 후 이에 대해 다차원척도법 및 계층적 군집분석법을 적용함으로서 다변량 다중비교 그림 또는 집단들의 포지셔닝맵 및 덴드로그램 등을 얻는 절차를 제안한다. 설명과 활용가능성 확인을 위해 공개용 예제 자료에 적용해 본 결과들을 함께 제시한다.

영문 초록

In this paper, a visualization method for the results from the multiple comparison in multivariate one-way ANOVA is tried. In the case that the number of groups is large, such a method may be more needed. It is based on a distance matrix between groups. Each element of it is the minus value of the logarithm of the p-value that is obtained from two independent sample ‘modified Hotelling’s T²-test’ and is calculated by using the bootstrap method. Then these p-values have the feature that are free to the assumptions of equality of covariance matrices and multivariate normality. The graphical representations of it can be made by multidimensional scaling and/or hierarchical clustering. The distance matrix of it can also be used for positioning and/or clustering the groups in the aggregate data. Naturally this method may involve some loss of information. For the explanation and applicability of the suggested method, some graphical results obtained by applying it to an open sample data are presented.
