대응분석을 활용한 국민 사망률과 보험사의 사망률 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 2010년부터 2012년까지 국민 사망률과 A보험사 사망률을 포아송분포를 이용한 비교검정을 통해 사망담보의 언더라이팅 효과가 존재하는지를 확인하였다. 또한 다중대응분석을 통해 성별, 연령별, 사망원인의 요인들을 가지고 국민전체와 A보험사의 사망률을 실증 비교분석하였다. 포아송분포에 의한 비교검정 결과, 성별을 불문하고 모든 연령대에서 A보험사의 사망률이 국민 사망률에 비해 낮게 나타나 언더라이팅 효과가 있음을 보여주었다. A보험사와 국민전체의 비교를 위한 다중대응분석을 실시한 결과, A보험사의 사망률과 밀접한 관련이 있는 사망원인으로는 신생물(암), 순환기계, 상세불명 원인, 질병이환·사망외 원인으로 나타났다. 특히, A보험사 측면에서 신생물(암)은 50대 여성, 순환기계는 40대 남성과 높은 관련성을 보였는데 이들 사망원인질병에 대한 위험평가가 상대적으로 미흡하여 언더라이팅 효과가 상대적으로 낮게 나타난 것으로 보인다. A보험사는 언더라이팅 효과가 부재한 요인에 대해 현장 언더라이팅 기능의 강화, 정보비대칭 점검을 위한 방안의 강구 등이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study deals with an empirical analysis on the comparison of national mortality rate and that of A insurer. We did the comparison test using Poisson distribution and multiple correspondence analysis to investigate whether or not the mortality rate of A insurer is different from that of national population using data of year 2010 - 2012. The the comparison test using Poisson distribution showed that mortality rate of A insurer is lower than the national one. This meant that A insurer successfully conducted underwriting on death coverage. Also as a result of multiple correspondence analysis, the factors closely related with death proportion of A insurer was neoplastic (cancer), cardiovascular disease, Ill-defined and unknown causes of mortality. Especially in the aspect of A insurer compared the nation, neoplastic (cancer) is very related with 50’s female and cardiovascular disease is very related with 40’s male. It seems that the absence of underwriting effect of neoplastic (cancer) and cardiovascular system might happen because field underwriting, screening function (medical check, underwriting investigation) were not in place.
