국문 초록

이 연구는 중학생의 시간압박감과 학업소진의 관계에서 성별의 조절효과를 확인하고자 한다. 이 연구는 중학교에 재학 중인 1,2,3학년 학생을 대상으로 하였으며, 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 2018년 5월에 자료를 수집하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 20.0 프로그램을 활용하였으며 구조방정식모형(Structural Equation Model : SEM)을 통해 분석하였다. 이 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생의 시간압박감과 학업소진의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 두 변인은 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생의 시간압박감이 학업소진에 미치는 영향에서 성별이 조절 효과가 있으며, 남학생이 여학생보다 조절 효과가 통계적으로 더 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 학업소진과 시간압박감을 낮추는 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료로 제공하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the moderating effects of gender between the effects of time pressure on middle school students’ academic burnout. For this purpose, 335 students in Busan were conduected a survey, and a structural equation modeling was used. First, the results showed that time pressure was correlated with academic burnout. Second, male students had higher levels of time pressure than female. Third, the analysis of structural equation modeling to investigate the effect of time pressure on academic burnout reveald that gender had a moderating effect on the effects of time pressure on academic burnout. As time pressures increase, male students experience more academic burout than female students. Based on the results of this study, it was discussed that different approaches are needed depending on gender in preventing and invervention for middle school students’ academic burnout. Other implications and limitations of this study were discussed on this paper and suggestions for subsequent studies were presented.
