초등학교 교사의 소규모학교 공동교육과정에 대한 관심도 및 실행수준 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 공동교육과정 운영에 대한 소규모 초등학교 교사의 관심도와 실행수준을 분석하고자 하는 것에 목적이 있다. 학령인구 감소에 따른 소규모 학교 증가는 소규모학교에 대한 인식을 전환시켰다. 통폐합의 대상으로 보았던 기존의 관점에서 벗어나 소규모학교를 가치 있는 대상으로 여기고 교육의 질적 확보를 도모하고자 하는 방향으로 유지ㆍ존치 시킬 수 있도록 시선을 전환한 것이다. 교육의 질적 확보는 소규모학교의 특성을 고려한 다양한 교육과정 운영을 통하여 가능하며, 그 중 공동교육과정은 하나의 방법으로 그 가치가 충분하다. 다만, 교육과정의 운영의 주체는 교사이기에 교사가 교육과정을 대하는 태도와 교육과정을 실행하는 모습을 파악할 필요가 있다. 이는 CBAM 모형을 통하여 파악이 가능하다. 따라서 소규모학교 공동교육과정을 운영하는 교사의 관심도와 실행수준을 파악하기 위하여 이에 해당하는 학교 교사 73명을 대상으로 2019년 10월 11일부터 2019 10월 25일까지 설문을 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 공동교육과정을 운영하는 교사의 관심도는 전반적으로 ‘비판적 비사용자’의 형태를 보인다. 둘째, 배경변인(성별, 담당학년, 교직경력, 연수유무)에 따른 공동교육과정의 운영에 대한 교사의 관심도는 유의미한 차이가 없다. 셋째, 공동교육과정에 대한 초등학교 교사의 실행수준은 ‘기계적 실행수준’이 가장 높았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the interest and performance level of small elementary school teachers for the operation of the joint-curriculum. The increase in small schools following a decline in school-age population has changed the perception of small schools. Departing from the traditional view of what has been seen as an object of integration and closure, it has shifted their eyes so that people can see small schools as valuable objects and maintain and retain them in a direction to secure the quality of education. The quality of education can be secured through various curriculum management considering the characteristics of small schools. Among them, the joint-curriculum is worth one way. However, since the teacher is mainly responsible for the operation of the curriculum, it is necessary to grasp the attitude toward the curriculum and how the curriculum is implemented. This can be identified through the CBAM model. Therefore, in order to grasp the interest and performance level of teachers in the small school co-curricular curriculum, a questionnaire was conducted for 73 corresponding school teachers, and the following results were obtained. First, the interests of teachers who run the joint-curriculum shows a form of ‘critical non-users’. Second, there is no significant difference in the teacher’s interest in operating the joint-curriculum according to the background variables (gender, grade level, teaching career, and training). Third, the ‘mechanical execution level’ was the highest in the elementary school teacher’s execution level for the joint-curriculum.
