국문 초록

본 연구는 현재 유아 미술표현이 동일성으로 환원되는 재현을 강조하며 간과하고 있는 신체와 감각, 생성과 창조를 강조한 Deleuze 기호론의 관점에서 유아들의 미술표현에서 발생되는 다양한 관계의 양상과 그 의미들을 살펴보기 위하여 리좀 지도그리기를 활용하였다. 이를 위해 A어린이집 만 4, 5세반 유아 14명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 2018년 3월 ~ 8월까지 자료를 수집하고 해석하였다. 그 결과 유아들의 미술표현은 기호와의 마주침으로서 시작되었으며, 다양한 관계맺음을 통해 끊임없이 새로운 의미들을 생성하였다. 그리고 유아들은 이성이나 개념에 의해 미술표현을 하거나 미술적 배움을 획득하는 것만이 아니라 신체가 구체적인 물질을 직접 만나서 감각과 감성, 기억 등을 통해서 자기만의 방식으로 발견하는 역동적인 과정임을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 유아 미술표현은 이성과 지식 중심의 관점에서 벗어나 감각, 감성, 기억을 새롭게 바라볼 수 있도록 안내하였으며, 유아 미술교육은 결과중심에서 벗어나 유아들의 일상의 삶과 함께하며 다양한 관계 속에서 끊임없이 확장되고 연결되어 나타날 수 있는 과정중심 교육으로 바뀌어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to investigate young children’s art with the assumption that their artistic expressions are not simply representation or reproduction, but more then something of their experiences and memory. With this assumption, this study explored young children’s art expressions which are virtually observable on the rhizome mapping, the concept which is supported by Delueze’s theory that emphasizes the senses and the body, which are often overlooked in traditional art education. To this end, this study selected 14 infants from a 4&5 year old class in A Daycare Center as research participants and collected and interpreted data from March to August, 2018. As a result, art expression of infants started as an encounter with symbols and constantly created new meanings through various relationships. Also, it was identified that infants not only make art expressions by reason or concept or acquire artistic learning but they go through a dynamic process of meeting specific materials in person and discovering in their own way through sense, sensibility, and memory as well. Art expression of infants helped to see sense, sensibility, and memory anew beyond reason and knowledge-centered perspective, and this study suggests that early childhood art education needs to be changed to process-oriented education beyond results that constantly expands and gets connected in various relationships in their daily life.
