국문 초록

본 연구는 부ㆍ모의 가족상호작용과 온정적 양육행동, 유아의 학습준비도 및 사회적 유능감 간의 구조적 관계 분석을 통해 아버지와 어머니가 유아의 사회적 유능감과 학습준비도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 7차년도 조사에 참여한 1,380명의 부모와 유아의 자료를 활용하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 부ㆍ모의 가족상호작용은 각자의 온정적 양육행동과 유아의 사회적 유능감에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 어머니의 온정적 양육행동은 유아의 학습준비도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 아버지의 온정적 양육행동은 어머니의 온정적 양육행동을 거쳐 유아의 학습준비도 및 사회적 유능감에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 유아의 사회적 유능감은 유아의 학습준비도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 유아발달 및 교육, 가족과 관련된 제도ㆍ정책적 제언 및 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of father and mother on children’s school readiness and social competence by analyzing the structural relationship between parents’ family interaction and warmth parenting behavior, school readiness and social competence of their children. Structural equation modeling was conducted by using data from 1,380 parents and their children who participated in the 7th year survey of the panel study on Korean children (2014). The results of the study were as follows. First, parents’ family interactions had a positive effect on warmth parenting behaviors of themselves and children’s social competence. Second, mother’s warmth parenting behavior had a positive effect on children’s school readiness, and father’s warmth parenting behavior had a positive effect on children’s school readiness and social competence through the mother’s warmth parenting behavior. Third, the social competence of children had a positive effect on the school readiness of the children. Based on the results of this study, suggestions and implications for the children’s development and education, and the institutional and policy related to family were discussed.
