대학 글쓰기와 인성 교육의 연계 가능성

국문 초록

이 연구는 인성 함양의 통로로 ‘공감’에 주목하여 자기 서사 글쓰기의 예비 단계 (도입-상상하기-공감하기-위로하기)를 설계하여 이를 2017년 1학기 실제 수업에 적용해 보았다. 그리고 적용한 사례 분석을 통해 글쓰기 수업 안에서의 인성교육의 실현 가능성을 타진해 보았다. 구체적으로 학습자들이 쉽게 접할 수 있으면서 리듬과 내러티브가 공존하는 노래와 시를 활용하여 타자에게 공감하고, 공감을 바탕으로 타자와 자신을 위로하는 단계를 거쳐 자기 자신을 성찰하고 탐색하는 글쓰기의 내용을 마련해 보았다. 그 결과 첫째, ‘자기 서사’ 글쓰기의 예비 단계로 활용한 공감적 글쓰기는 타자의 상황, 감정, 생각 등을 인지하는 과정을 거치면서 타자를 이해하는 데 도움을 주었다. 둘째, 타자에 대한 이해의 과정이 공감 주체의 삶을 반추해 볼 수 있는 촉매제 역할을 하였다. 셋째, 자신의 상처를 치유하거나 트라우마를 극복하는 데 기여했으며, 희망적인 현재와 미래를 다짐할 수 있도록 하였다. 넷째, 이러한 전반적인 과정은 ‘자기 서사’ 글쓰기의 글감과 내용이 되어 자신의 경험이나 생각, 감정을 구체화하는 데 도움이 되었다. 결국, 이러한 과정을 통해 자기 자신을 표현하고, 타자와 소통할 수 있는 도구인 글쓰기와 자기 자신을 정확히 인지하고 타자를 이해할 수 있는 능력인 공감 능력과의 연계 가능성을 볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study focused on “empathy” as a pathway of human growth and designed the preliminary stages (introduction - imagination - empathy - comforting) of self - narrative writing and applied it to real class in 2017. In addition, through the applied case analysis, I tried to realize the possibility of personality education in writing class. Specifically, the learner can easily access the rhythm and narrative by using songs and poetry to empathize with the other, based on empathy with the other and self-consciousness through self-reflection and search for the contents of writing saw. As a result, firstly, empathy writing, which is used as a preliminary stage of ‘self narrative’ writing, helped others understand the situation, feelings and thoughts of others. Second, the process of understanding the hitter was the catalyst that can look back on a life of empathy subjects. Third, he contributed to healing his own wounds and overcoming trauma, and he promised hopeful present and future. Fourth, this overall process has helped to shape the experiences, thoughts, and emotions of the self-narrator as the writing and contents of writing. In the end, through this process, we were able to see the possibility of expressing oneself and linking with writing, which is a tool to communicate with others, and empathy ability, which is the ability to recognize oneself correctly and to understand others.
