외국인 유학생들을 위한 발표 연습 도구로 Voicethread 활용에 관한 교수ㆍ학습 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 외국인 유학생들을 위한 발표 연습 방법으로 Voicethread 도구 활용에 관한 교수ㆍ학습 모형을 마련하고 이를 충첨남도 S대학교에 재학 중인 학부생들을 대상으로 실시한 연구수업의 사례를 제시하는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위하여 외국어 교수ㆍ학습의 도구로 Voicethread 활용에 관한 선행연구 검토 및 이론적 논의들을 검토하고 이를 바탕으로 발표 연습을 위한 교수ㆍ학습의 원리를 마련하고 총 12명의 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 Voicethread 활용을 중심으로 한 발표 연습 방법에 관한 교수ㆍ학습을 실시하고 이에 사용된 자료 및 교수ㆍ학습 절차와 사례를 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 외국인 유학생들을 위한 발표 연습 도구로서 Voicethread 활용은 다음과 같은 여러 가지 장점을 기대할 수 있다고 주장하였다. 첫째, Voicethread 활용은 교수와 학습자뿐만 아니라 학습자들 간에도 음성과 문자 채팅을 통해 자유롭게 다양한 정보와 의견 교환과 공유가 가능하여 구어 상호작용과 발표 능력 함양을 기대할 수 있다. 둘째, Voicethread 도구 활용은 학습 절차와 방법이 학습자 주도적으로 실행이 가능하기 때문에 자기 주도적인 발표 연습 능력 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 셋째, Voicethread는 온라인을 통해 교수와 학습자들 간에 반복적인 활용과 수정 및 피드백 과정이 이루어지기 때문에 외국인 유학생들이 정의적인 면에서 갖게 되는 불안감을 완화시킬 수 있다. 따라서 Voicethread 활용은 외국인 유학생들이 자신감을 갖고 유창하고 정확하게 발표능력 함양을 기대할 수 있는 CMC 실현을 위한 도구로 교육적 활용 가치가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to present a case study on the use of Voicethread tools applied to research classes and to present a teaching and learning model to students studying at undergraduate foreign students. For this, I examined previous studies and theoretical discussions. And then, based on this process, I presented the principles of teaching and learning. Next, I conducted a research study focusing on the use of Voicethread as a presentation practice methodology applying teaching ․learning models of the 12 foreign students. Through this study, I argue that it provides various implications using Voicethread as a presentation practice tool for the foreign students. First, using Voicethread can be expected oral interaction and improving presentation ability because it freely exchanges and exchanges various information through voice and text chat not only professor and students even among students freely. Second, using Voicethread tools can be helpful to develop the self-directed presentation practice skill because of learner-driven learning procedures and methods. Third, Voicethread can reduce anxiety. Because it is through repetition, modification, and feedback that it is done online between professors and learners. In conclusion, Voicethread is worth using a presentation practice tool for foreign students and CMC methodology realization.
