유아발달과 문제행동간의 관계에서 자기조절력의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아발달과 자기조절력, 그리고 문제행동간의 관계를 밝히기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구목적의 실현을 위하여 유아발달, 자기조절력, 문제행동간의 구조적 관계를 밝히고 유아발달과 문제행동간의 관계에서 자기조절력의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 이를 위해 U광역시에 소재한 유치원 6곳에서 2018년 1월 3일부터 17일까지 15일에 걸쳐 재원중인 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 293명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아의 신체발달, 사회성발달, 정서발달은 자기조절력을 높였다. 동시에 자기조절력은 문제행동을 낮추고 정서발달 역시 문제행동을 낮추는 것으로 드러났다. 한편, 유아 신체발달 및 사 회성발달과 문제행동간의 관계에서 자기조절력은 완전매개 역할을 하지만 정서발달과 문제행동간의 관계에서 자기조절력은 부분매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 유아 발달의 하위 변인 가운데 언어발달과 인지발달이 유아의 자기조절력 및 문제행동과 긴밀하게 영향을 주고받는다는 관점을 벗어나 신체발달, 사회성발달, 정서발달 등이 자기조절력과 문제행동 간에 유의미한 관계를 형성 한다는 것을 밝힌 것으로써 연구와 현장에 시사하는 바가 클 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to clarify the relationship between preschoolers development, self-regulation, and problem behavior. The researchers used to methods to realize the purpose of the study. First, we found path relationships between infant development, self-regulation and problem behaviors. Next, we have identified the mediating effects of self-regulation in the relationship between infant development and problem behaviors. The subjects in this study were 293 preschoolers aged 3-5 in 6 kindergarten in the city of Busan. The collected data were analyzed by structural equation model. As the results, first, physical development, social development, and emotional development of preschoolers increased the self-control. Second, self-control and emotional development reduced the problem behaviors. On the other hand, self-regulation plays a mediating role in the relationship between physical development and social development and problem behavior. But, Self-regulation plays a partial role in the relationship between emotional outbreak and problem behavior. The results of this are significant that physical development, social development, and emotional development play a significant role between self-regulation and problem behavior.
